Talk about NBA 2K19 here.

Looks like it's Giannis Antetokounmpo.

He may not be the NLSC's favourite person from Greece, but still a solid choice.

Could possibly be a fake, but a good choice if it's real.

if this photo appeared in game in NBA 2k18, then it is in the PC files just like the Lebron cover.
I'm not going to look for it but just wanted to give that tip to any one who wants to confirm for themselves.

For what it's worth, Forbes is running with it, while acknowledging it's subject to confirmation at this point:

Good pick, one of the best players in the league

Yet another intentional leak.
Nike plans to promote Greek Freak 1 shoes. Last year they did it with Paul George on 2K cover, as PG 1 shoes were debuting.
Wonder why they don't break out news in all of a sudden.

A leak arguably leads to more hype and gets people talking as they speculate as to whether it's genuine or not.

There is a special announcement this coming monday for 2K19. It is currently posted in NBA 2K Facebook page.
It will be 11:45PM, don't know if Pacific Time or Eastern Time.
But I think we already know what the announcement is gonna be.
Sat Jun 30, 2018 3:33 am
Looks like 8:45 AM Pacific time
Sat Jun 30, 2018 3:45 am
Looks like it's gonna be 11:45AM Eastern Time. Looks like Facebook is following my time here in the Philippines. Which is why it is set as 11:45PM.
Edit: I guess they will just announce the standard edition cover boy, then announce something like a million dollar thing just like what they did for WWE 2K19.

I wouldn't have thought they'd hold off as long as they have following the leak, so I agree the announcement is likely regarding the Standard Edition cover.

Officially confirmed.

No one mention here that playing four days early will be only achievable from $99.99 Anniversary Edition.
Pre-ordering standard $59.99 edition will NOT allow to play early as it has every year in the past.

Are you freaking kidding me?
I am so sick of this shit.......

Wait you guys weren't aware of this... I suppose it wasn't really discussed here.
My guess was they changed it up because they got to see how willing people were to pay extra to get the game early. I mean some people would spend hundreds and travel miles just to get an early copy of the game.

It's unreal, Peace. Just when we thought they couldn't get more greedy, they pull that. That's an extra $40 to get the game 4 days early, when we used to be rewarded for pre-ordering at the regular price for early access.
I'm extra pissed right now, and just tweeted at them (But I just started using my Twitter, so I doubt it gets any reactions). I am so sick of the BS.

Yeah it's pretty bad, but I will say it could be a blessing in disguise. I mean a lot of people only preordered the game in the past just because of its early access (including myself), I suspect that number to drop a lot. If the game doesn't fix all it's flaws it might even convince a lot of those people who didn't preorder to hold back from purchasing the game. But regardless it really shows where Take-Two's mindset it at right now.

I saw a poll that a Twitter user put up (It was like a game review page, cant remember the name). The poll asked which game people would be purchasing "NBA Live 19 or NBA 2K19", witht he 3rd option being "Neither". The results (Which had like 400 or 500 responses) had Live at an advantage of 57% to 2K19's 24%, and with 19% saying neither. I looked at the Twitter page, and I didn't see any bias towards one or the other company/game.
I'm glad to see that SOME people are fed up with the BS and are willing to move on.

Nope

I noted that the Early Tip-Off was exclusive to the 20th Anniversary Edition in that topic (and we've discussed it on the Podcast). I've seen people defend it by saying 2K doesn't owe us a bonus like that, but I would suggest that's rather myopic. The fact of the matter is that it has been a bonus offered across all pre-orders for the last couple of years, but this time, it's only available for the more expensive special edition. It's a further lack of goodwill from a company that has been drifting further and further into anti-consumer territory this generation.
