Let me know what ye think of episode 1

This is the first episode of our CHarlotte Hornets MyLeague series on NBA 2K18.

It's my first time doing anything like this so leave trade, free agent suggestions in the comments.

We will be focusing on multiple story lines in this series so stay tuned : D

I'm not telling anyone how to run their story, but an exclusive video story in a written forum is gonna be a tough sell; just my two cents.

Ohh, that's unfortunate. If ever you plan on returning, like what cavs said, I'd also advise against putting all your eggs in one basket (putting all details in the video). Video is a great tool, but I recommend using it as a complement for a written post instead of a full recap.

Agreed, video content is great but harder to produce (and thus it feels less rewarding if it doesn't get a lot of views and comments). Sometimes it's harder to consume as well, since someone can read a written recap at their own pace. You can obviously skip ahead in videos, but then it's easy to miss things, and sometimes the length puts people off to begin with. I'd agree it's often more effective as a complement to written content, and generally results in a better response.

If I can record fine on my pc when 2K19 comes out I'll do a legit one with video and written story parts both together.

Any team suggestions if it works anyone? I'm caught between a few teams I wanna rebuild whether it be personal or public

Do you have a favourite team? When all else fails, they tend to be the one that's easiest to be invested in, and when you're invested, it usually makes for a better story. Even if you're not going to maintain a story topic, you need to be invested in the team you're controlling, otherwise you'll lose interest fairly quickly.

Do the Hornets again if you like them. I think in real life they're in a rough position of having a player in his prime, a terrible cap situation, and nothing to really show for it. They would make an interesting rebuild, but as Andrew stated, stick to teams you like or players you like.

For me, I'm not a big Cavs fan, but I like playing great players so I picked doing essentially a MyCareer with LeBron James. Maybe you'll enjoy doing something like that more too.

Though again, let me stress, it's whatever you want. If it's good, or interesting even in the idea (not even discussing execution which obviously gets attention), I'm noticing people here pay attention. Good luck with the next story though! I'll be paying attention.

I live in Ireland so I don't have a personal preference. The hornets I'm not interested in because I did them. The mavericks, hawks or maybe even the bucks might be some teams I'd be interested in. The potential story lines are pretty self explanatory
