Re: Roster Feedback

With Patch 1.07, the rosters have been updated through November 15th. There hasn't been any transactions since then (except for Robert Covington signing a veteran extension), so the rosters should be pretty up to date.

Nice thoughts on how to fix franchise mode, no doubt! I might just restart my Lakers franchise. We'll see. Gonna check out the update tonight, maybe play some The One. I'm on the Twolves as a defensive PG. Pretty fun playing with KAT, Wiggins, etc.

New rosters are out, featuring the Jahlil Okafor trade.

This time, we've got some details on the latest roster.

Bulletin
Changelog Spreadsheet

Still a little behind, but it all depends on when the rosters are finalised.

Hi Andrew, is there any news on whether EA intends to include All Decade Teams in the roster? Thank you.

Re: Roster Feedback

I haven't heard of any intentions to do that. Something for the Wishlist.

Re: Roster Feedback

Fri Jan 26, 2018 4:35 pm

Thanks for the reply, Andrew. It would be huge if they do that. The player models several legends are in the game already. It will be good if we can use them as part of the regular roster and not just the LUT.

Re: Roster Feedback

I don't think they're going to do anything like that until next year, but I would definitely like to see some historical content outside of LUT. It's not going to be as comprehensive as what NBA 2K has done, but it any extra content is worthwhile.

The transactions tab has been nice to see what has changed

Agreed, I'm glad they brought back the spreadsheet.

Is Trey Burke on the knicks yet? I know I could do it myself but it's alway good to be playing with an up to date roster.

Re: Roster Feedback

Yes, that was one of the changes

Re: Roster Feedback

Wed Feb 07, 2018 12:17 pm

A new roster has fixed the issue with duplicate players in last week's update.

Re: Roster Feedback

Honestly I was surprised they updated so quickly after the trade, but they would've caught so much shit had they not acted quickly.

Definitely. You can't let a database error like that slide.

Trade deadline rosters are now live.

Are ratings based purely on league data/stats as OKC Ferguson 3pt rating of 68 is too low IMHO. I know his season stats support that rating but it doesn't make it right.

Sorry but, he is shooting .286% from three this season, which is about 8% below the league average. And, this is his only season to base it off of, and.. he is taking 2 per game.

The rating actually makes sense, for now. I think they got that right.

No need to apologise. I know the kid can shoot. Often he's getting those shots cold & in garbage time. And we know playing with Westbrook never helps matters. Over time his % will come up to & exceed the league average.

I just never trust NBA Live ratings for fringe players. If dynasty was any good I'd just edit applicable ratings that I don't agree with.

I can attest to it being tough when a player simply isn't performing well, but they have demonstrated they have the skill. Sometimes you can fudge a rating slightly, but then it looks and feels statistically inaccurate.

I don't trust 2K's either, fringe players often get the copy and paste treatment for 2k (like an unathletic guard having Zach Lavines dunk package). The amount of attributes/tendencies that are off on 2k are ridiculous, and I am assuming is a similar issue with Live.

In regards to playing with Westbrook, I disagree with that comment, and have watched a lot of Thunder games this season. When Ferguson started games, he got shots up early (And they wouldn't fall), he had one stand out game as a starter.

He is young and will improve I think, I'd like to see him put on a little more size and get stronger.

Re: Roster Feedback

Fri Feb 16, 2018 8:40 am

Definitely needs to get stronger. He struggled in Australia last year with physicality but he's got a shooter's stroke so he'll be right

Re: Roster Feedback

Fri Feb 16, 2018 9:26 am

Seems like for non superstar players, their way of keep the overall rating down is by just keeping all ratings down evenly from where they'd be if they were a bigger name.

Josh Hart is known for his defense if anything and my god all of this ratings were low. Even now on Ultimate Team his ladder card with better stats only has like a 74 in def.

3 pt rating is a problem though because if it's too low, it's just impossible to hit 3s with them even if they hit em in real life and even if the devs try to show that with a decent rating. A dude rated in the low 70s in 3s is probably 33% irl but can't hit a 3 in the game for his life outside of corner 3s

Re: Roster Feedback

Fri Feb 16, 2018 11:20 am

That is another trick too, docking a few ratings points so the overall looks better and there's room for improvement. Overall Ratings, though a necessary evil, have a lot to answer for.

Looks like the issue with custom rotations/minutes not being saved has been resolved.
