Talk about NBA Live 18 here.

The thing that bugs me more is that we get no reason to why we don't have roster editing, questions go ignored.
I feel we know more about the Bin Larden takedown than we do about nba live roster management

Playing ultimate team and seeing all these inaccurate numbers for my players was really frustrating. Trying to find Josh Hart on the floor for a 3 pointer I looked for his #5 but I guess he's like #33 or something

Sooooo no roster update it would seem :-/

If I didn't know any better, I would think that #0 was the most popular jersey number in the league

Probably next week, Cornell said he's gonna look into a lot of the rosters. I kind of made a scene on twitter about Joe Young not being on the roster lol.

Iam a huge supporter of Live but this is just not good enough, if your not going to give us roster management then you have to make regular updates, once a week just isn't cutting it especially if there missing weeks or missing players off rosters then the customer has to wait 7 days to see if they fix it in the next roster update? Nah man that's not right and it's being 3 years that people have being telling them we need it in the game and they don't even explain why either.

First, a shameless plug for this week's Monday Tip-Off, which discusses roster editing:
http://www.nba-live.com/mto-roster-editing-nba-live/Also, there's a new roster which adds classic jerseys, and accounts for the latest transactions. It seems Aaron Brooks still isn't on the Timberwolves' roster, but they do have more than fifteen players, so that's probably something that'll be sorted out shortly. I haven't checked all the jersey numbers yet.

Is the Lakers classic the 99-00 jerseys?? Interesting, as it's not much different from the current design, but it is a Nike classic. I guess Conrad was wrong on the Minneapolis jersey guess

Yeah, that one definitely stood out from the other classic uniforms.

It is supposed to be 1947-52 uniforms (at least last news I read). The unis in-game lack the Nike logos and have a different neck style, as well as just looking like a bastardized modern version. In addition, in pre-game uni select one of the accessories is baby blue (which matches 47-52 unis) but in-game accessories are Laker yellow. I would guess these are the wrong unis.
Also, Phoenix's Classic unis are missing the Swoosh on the shorts. I am guessing that's an error as well.

I actually thought the same thing.
16 was really nice & easy to see the player & player numbers. IIRC, the jersey number was right there on the left and if you pushed in L3 or R3 (forget which) you could see the player on the left. This made it very easy to check accessories, hair style, etc.
Also, notice that when you view Rosters from the main menu, it takes up only half of the screen and you see just six players listed at a time. However, when you view rosters (Team Roster) in-game, you can see eight players at a time.

They could probably let the user see dang near the whole roster if they moved the player face to show on the left (over team logo) and removed the silly large OVR and circle graphs. That would allow the rows to be smaller in height, allowing more to be visible.
As a whole, the franchise has not done a very good job in using real estate and giving users the pertinent info in a concise manner in menu screens. It's very frustrating to users and gives the game an overly simplistic look IMO.

hmm maybe it's just a placeholder until they unveil it then

Always a possibility, but if they couldn't reveal it yet, surely they'd have held off adding it?
I'd like to see them change the default home/away assignments for some of the Icon and Association jerseys as well, since teams are making different choices in that regard. I mean, I'm not a fan of the real teams doing that and breaking with tradition, but if that's the way it's going to be, reflecting it in the game would be more authentic.
Fri Oct 13, 2017 3:24 am
Yeah the Lakers choices are already obvious, sticking with tradition. So that will definitely need to change. Still very strange to see them wear gold away against a team wearing white

New rosters are accurate as of October 13th.
Tue Oct 17, 2017 3:36 pm
That includes all numbers, signings, etc?
Tue Oct 17, 2017 5:23 pm
As of the 13th. Transactions that happened over the weekend (such as Richard Jefferson's release) or the past 24 hours aren't accounted for yet.

I also noticed a significant upgrade in the game play after downloading the roster update and data. Now today there's a patch, I'm downloading it right now.
Wed Oct 18, 2017 3:11 am
Hopefully the gameplay improves now they have a little preseason synergy but that's probably not the best data I guess
Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:26 am
New rosters are fairly accurate in terms of getting all the players on the right teams, though the lineups don't reflect the latest injuries and rotations. Also, Bogdan Bogdanovic is still definitely incorrect:
Tue Oct 24, 2017 2:47 pm
Not sure what their stance will be on the two way players. I mean, with the m being D League players, it gives WA an excuse to not have to do the work to put them in, but at the same time some of them like the Lakers' Alex Caruso are actually getting quite a bit of playing time.
Tue Oct 24, 2017 4:13 pm
They're going to have to overhaul their roster management system. Even in terms of having 13 active players, it's outdated.
Tue Oct 31, 2017 10:29 pm
Has EA given up on roster updates already?
Tue Oct 31, 2017 11:46 pm
I don't think so. They usually only release one per week, and one came out last week.
