Talk about NBA 2K18 here.

Sure, but they probably just wanted to add some teams not represented yet.
Fri Aug 18, 2017 9:30 pm
I guess. Two seems like overkill though, when neither were particularly notable in the grand scheme of things.

Any ECF or WCF from any year is ok with me.

I think they could include 05-06 Mavs and 06-07 Warriors. That way the user could replicate the 2006 finals (since the 05-06 Heat is already included) and almost that "we believe" series in 2007, since the Mavs didn't change that much from one season to the other.

I think with some of the hints they were dropping on 2K TV, 2007 Warriors are almost a lock.

No one that isn't also already represented on a more significant or successful team.
Mike Miller was pretty clutch that year. Battier was the defensive standout he's always been. A well coached hubie brown team
IIRC they weren't a fantastic team, obviously but that was the first playoff team in grizzlies history?
Sat Aug 19, 2017 1:39 am
2004 was their first year in the Playoffs.
Definitely some noteworthy players on that team. I'm just saying that there's no one on the team that isn't already represented on a more noteworthy squad. It's different and I am in favour of having some unorthodox choices in there, especially with so many obvious ones already in the game. The two Grizzlies teams are particularly strange though, and having both seems like overkill. But we still have quite a few spots left, so it's only two out of the sixteen new additions at the end of the day.

Maybe that's why they put them in the game: most players are already in there so assembling the team would be much more simple
Sat Aug 19, 2017 1:46 am
I would assume so. I suppose the way to look at it is that it enabled them to add another team, rather than looking at it as though the '06 Grizzlies taking a spot from anyone else.

They should have put the team in with Jason Williams...
I want to use Stromile Swift!!!!
No Stromile? No purchase. You failed me 2K.

Very nice choices, still hoping to see some more old school teams from 80's/90's.

Great choices.
And yeah, I'm hoping for the 82-83 76ers, the 92-93 Suns, and maybe the 66-67 Warriors. I doubt Ill get the Suns and Warriors.
Sat Aug 19, 2017 7:53 am
I already did a matchup between these two teams on my channel.
Sat Aug 19, 2017 8:31 am
Our list so far, 6-8 more to go...

03-04 lakers
11-12 thunder
07-08 nuggets
+maybe these?
92-93 nets (rumor not confirmed yet)
06-07 warriors (rumor not confirmed yet)

02-03 magic
96-97 pistons
96-97 magic
any reggie miller team
any barkley team
Sat Aug 19, 2017 9:18 am
1996 pistons would be a good year for them.
I liked the 06-07 wizards, makes me nostalgic when I'd play as them in 2k7. The magic that year also

A couple of good choices there. Melo and AI may not have panned out, but it was a fun experiment.
Sat Aug 19, 2017 11:36 am
I hope they have a year specific Melo CF for that 07-08 Nuggets team.
Sat Aug 19, 2017 6:26 pm
what about 01-02 Clippers? they were soooo fun to watch. they would thrive in today's game; fast paced, athletic guys. a decent point guard would make them unstoppable
Just these guys:
elton brand
lamar odom
darius miles
olowokandi
quentin richardson
corey maggette
keyon dooling
earl "mfuckin" boykins
eric piatkowski
sean rooks (rip)
jeff mcinnis

Next two teams have been confirmed:

I approve of both of these.
Nice job 2K.

11 Mavs is a nice addition, but 16 Warriors is basically a worse version of the current Warriors. For me, the biggest benefit of the All-time teams and new 16 Classic Teams is having the players that were exclusive to MyTeam, and will be much easier to make our own unique All-time Teams (I plan to make one for myself without duplicates). Aside from that, they are pratically not adding any new licenses. I think It's more and more likely that Miller and Barkley are not in the game

Even though they're recent and somewhat similar to the current squad minus Durant, the '16 Warriors are obviously significant for the records they set. I don't mind that addition. '11 Mavericks are a good choice.

Reggie Miller's cyber face is in the game for a reason. He wasn't in my team last year (to my knowledge) so one of the Pacer squads has to be in the game.
It could be the the "Malice in the Palace" Pacers or it could be the group that played in the finals against the Lakers.

I'd prefer the 2000 team.
