While the colors may be inaccurate compared to real life, the comparison isn't real life vs. an image through a computer monitor. It's an image through a computer monitor vs. another image from the same computer monitor. Unless the monitor is literally black and white, you can still differentiate colors just fine on even the shittiest monitor.

There is your problem. You're comparing it to some pictures that were taken under certain conditions, modified and might carry their own profiles.

Let's see... 4 photos, 4 different hues due to various reasons. At least 3 of them are wrong then. How do we tell which one is the correct one? And we are now comparing images through a computer monitor...

Sure, they all are very slightly different (and tbh, 1 2 and 4 are pretty much the exact same color, so that isn't helping your argument), but none of them are different colors in the same way the Cavs jersey is. In your example, you're talking about very slightly different brightnesses. That's not at all the case for the Cavs jersey. One is very plum, and the other is red.

They still haven't updated Kilpatrick, he really needs to get scanned.

Most players will sit for a scan with both developers, though it's voluntary on the players' part.

Even if they can't scan him, they can still sit down and manually make him using photos the same way we do.

Westbrook has needed an upgrade since 2K10.

I hope he gets one.

Oh, definitely. I just meant that him being affiliated with EA doesn't prevent him from being scanned by 2K, if he chooses to sit for a scan.

D. Rose apparently has a copied 2K17 face. It's exactly the same. I would've expected a thicker beard at least. Anyways, his face scan is OK. There are worse situations for better players tbh.

Evan Fournier seems to be a bit happier with his face this year.

That picture of John Collins was a little bit too much IMO. Now I see Lonzo Ball is threatening 2K he is not buying the game if they don't change that preview of John Collins, lol.

Edit: The comeback posted by Chris Manning on Lonzo's tweet.

I thought that looked off too. First thing I'm doing is adding R4zoR's tats. Probably couldn't get the rights to them yet? I know I had heard previously they have to get permission from any artist involved in the tats but not sure if that's still the case.

I think they meant that they scanned to get the material texture. It's kind of like when they said "body scans" were in the game but that did not actually mean you would get player specific bodies.
It's just marketing it seems.

Man,not only Kuzma. In those screenshots are many players without tattoos or updates. If we want tattoos, only modders solution

There have been issues with getting certain tattoos into the game, and lawsuits filed over tattoos 2K supposedly has put in the game without appropriate permission. I would imagine that's still an issue.
