PC Release Rumours (Update: PS4 & X1 Only)

Interesting rumours are making the rounds about a PC release, based on a listing over at Game Informer that mentions the PC among the platforms for both NBA Live 18 and Madden 18.



Personally, it's something that I have trouble believing until we hear it from EA directly - it wouldn't be the first time we've seen an erroneous listing regarding a PC release - but it's worth keeping an eye on. Worth stirring up interest in at any rate, to demonstrate our desire for a PC version.

Honestly I think PC gaming in general has been making a bit of a comeback, especially with Steam in the forefront making it simple for everyone involved

Good point. I'd certainly like it to be true, though I'm certainly taking the rumours with a grain of salt for now.

I'd like to believe it, but a few people have already claimed it to be false. I guess this happens yearly with Madden.

It's still there in the listing (as of this post), but yeah, strictly a rumour and likely a copy and paste error until we hear otherwise.

If this is true then this is great news. Just having an alternative to 2K on PC will be huge for me, and if we can figure out how to mod the game that would be even better.

One can only hope I guess.

The likelihood is it's a mistake, happens every year with Madden from what people are saying over at OS. If it was true, it's a bit weird that they're releasing two games to basically a new platform and haven't mentioned anything about it yet.

Unless they're going to be making a big deal about it at E3, however with the recent leaks of the WNBA and "The ONE".... I doubt it.

I'm inclined to think so too, but ultimately decided it was worth reporting as a rumour making the rounds...if only to get the ball rolling on the conversation and hopefully demonstrate that the interest in a PC release is still there. I'd love to see it happen again.

Wouldn't be the first time that site was wrong.

The official website is only listing PS4 and X1, so looks like it was indeed Game Informer's error. A shame, but like I said, it may be time to get another petition going.

Too bad though. I'd really prefer a PC version. When given a choice between PS4 or PC, I'll buy the PC version of games every time.

Well, the bottom line is supporting the product and demonstrating a keen interest in a PC version. Petitions, articles, and so on. If the brand can reestablish itself with the larger console demographic, then the chances get a lot better.

Please set something up. Maybe they'll use WWE 2K's approach and release a PC version months after the console versions were there. Same thing happened with the first Injustice game. So where do I sign?

That's a good point. We can but ask. Just figuring out the best way to set it all up and make the pitch.

People are stating on different articles and forums that the official NBA Live 18 website has the XBOX One and PS4 listed for demos, there hasn't been an official platform announcement. No demo doesn't mean no game - take the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise for example. They still hope the PC gets in there. A bit optimistic in my opinion but it's better than ditching the idea altogether.

I think we can take it as read that there isn't going to a PC version right now, but that doesn't mean we can't continue to push for one.

So could you edit the title and/or the first post ? Because it's so disapointing right now
