MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers is in danger of being postponed after the court became slick from condensation caused by unseasonably warm temperatures and ice underneath.
Players were told to exit the court during pregame warmups on Monday evening for safety reasons. Target Center officials tried to lower the temperature in the building while maintenance crews mopped the court in an effort to avoid a postponement.
Timberwolves vice president of communications Brad Ruiter says the team is hopeful the game will be able to be played. The ice was laid so the Target Center could host Disney On Ice and a college hockey tournament.
A game at Philadelphia between the 76ers and Sacramento Kings was postponed on Nov. 30 because of a slippery court.

Generally speaking, they get rescheduled as soon as possible. At least
one game in history has been cancelled and not rescheduled, following the Boston Marathon bombing back in 2013. That was a rather unique situation of course, happening very late in the season, and being done in the wake of a tragic event.

Yes, I did read that they also chose not to reschedule the Boston/Indiana game as it wouldn't affect the playoff seeding. With that said, has the Philadephia/Sacramento game been rescheduled already or did they already play that game?

I don't believe it's been played yet, but it's only been postponed.

At least it wasn't played, I've watched many a knicks game over the years where the ice for the Rangers game was still under the court and players slipping at times on wet spots coming up through the court.
