Jeffx, since it is clear the Knicks won't be winning the title this season or anytime soon, what are you hoping to see from them this year?

How about between 45-50 wins and at least a trip to the second round?

Hopefully (if Phil stays) he can build on that and make the Knicks what they were during the 90s - an 11-year playoff run with two trips to the Finals......sustained success.

I pretty much feel the same way as Coach Boeheim about Carmelo's chances at an NBA title.

Rose's recent comments about feeling like the Knicks can win every game are being taken out of context, I believe. I think it's poor phrasing: it's sounding like he's saying they can go 82-0, but I get the impression he meant that they'll be competitive and in with a chance to win every game that they play...not that they actually will win every game.

I think Rose was mearly just pointing out that our mindset should be that no team is better than us and we shouldn't be scared to play them, you would think all nba players had that mentally but I've seen plenty over the years that go into games expecting a loss.

So how's the NYK media taking in the recent bits of super team and win every game comments??

It's not even preseason and Rose is almost at full strength with his media savvy.

Most of it comes from young Knick fans on social media. It's why I hardly go to the Knicks Facebook fan page. One idiot actually said Carmelo was better than LeBron. How can you argue with someone like that?

It's definitely disturbing. As I said when it all came about last year, I hate to assume the alleged victim isn't telling the truth, because there's too much of that in sexual assault cases. At the same time, I hate to think that Rose is guilty, because he's someone I've cheered for and supported for several years.

Makes you wonder if Phil and the Knicks "braintrust" did their homework on this case.

Perhaps they felt it was a non-issue when it was only a civil matter, but now that there's apparently enough evidence to file criminal charges, it's a whole other ballgame.
