Anyways the season doesn't go well for Montreal they're still deep in rebuilding trying to get those draft picks. Not long left until Kobe will be able to step it up for the Ravens.
P.S. I would like to ask you how do you do those html tables?
Not sure if I can get any of those players without losing Bryant or Allen. I'll try to see what I can find in free agency.
Regarding the html tables, just study this code that I'll give you.
- Code:
[table][tr][tb][color=#000000][center]Column 1 Header[/center][/color][/tb][tb][color=#000000][center]Column 2 Header[/center][/color][/tb][/tr][tr][tb][color=#000040][center]Column 1 Row 1[/center][/color][/tb][tb][color=#000040][center][size=85]Column 2 Row 1[/size][/center][/color][/tb][/tr][/table]
Basically every "tr" is another row and every "tb" is another column. I might be wrong so just trial and error that shit.

BRYANT AND IVERSON SQUARE UP FOR THE FIRST TIME

Milwaukee Bucks @ Montreal Ravens 95-116Feb. 3, Montreal - The athletes will tell you that at the end of the night, no matter how well they played, all that matters is whether their team won or lost. That’s all fine and dandy for a throwaway soundbite, but when your team is 12-24, you take every victory you can get.
On Monday, Bryant had his first opportunity to go head to head with Allen Iverson, the top-pick in the 1996 NBA Draft and the only guard regarded as a better prospect than Bryant in that class.
Iverson (1st overall to MIL) was going to be the primary match-up with Bryant all night.
Bryant finished the night with 38 points, 9 rebounds and 6 steals while shooting just over 47% percent from the floor. Iverson finished with six points, 5 assists, and 4 turnovers.
On the surface, the number were quite impressive, but it was the layers to Bryant’s dismantling of Iverson that made it so fun to witness.
Bryant out-muscled, out-smarted and out-worked Iverson in most of their one-on-one match ups to the point that the Bucks were forced to commit a double-team to the Ravens rookie.
He employed pump fakes and ball fakes to take advantage of Iverson's eagerness to get a step and try to block a shot. He hit mid-range jumpers and fade-aways only to exasperate a Bucks team that assumed they forced Bryant into a bad shot.
NOTES:Bryant and Iverson, the league's 2nd and 1st pick, squared off for the first time in a sold out arena in Milwaukee..... Bucks turned the ball over 22 times, a season-high..... The Ravens end their 6-game losing streak and "improve" to 13-24....

HUNGRY WOLVES OUTRUN RAVENS

Montreal Ravens @ Minnesota Timberwolves 102-115Mar. 1, Minnesota - Both teams were firing on all cylinders in the 1st quarter with the Ravens scoring 34 and leading by 12 but a wild 42-point 2nd quarter outburst by the Timberwolves found the Ravens down by 16 going to the 2nd half.
Montreal did everything they could to stop Kevin Garnett from scoring in the low post but in the end it didn't work out for them. Garnett was averaging 19.1 ppg before the contest but recorded 32 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 blocks to lead the Wolves to their 5th straight victory.
Brad Daugherty, who was assigned the task to guard Garnett, had 21 points and 10 rebounds on the night with no defensive stat.
NOTES:Robert Pack is announced to be ready to play next season..... Brad Daugherty has been bothered by back spasms the whole season..... Laettner comes back from his 2-month absence because of a bruised tailbone..... Stephon Marbury was Coach-DNP status tonight for personal reasons.....

BRYANT SCORES 39 AS RAVENS OUTPACE HAWKS

Montreal Ravens @ Atlanta Hawks 110-96Mar. 14, Atlanta - Atlanta led by 12 points after 3 quarters thanks to Peja Stojakovic's 26-point effort but it was the Ravens who came out on top after the end of the game.
Montreal opened the quarter with back-to-back three-pointers from Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen which cut the lead to just 6 points. Another 3 from Allen after the timeout cut it to 3 points and a steal by Robert Pack led to a transition three-pointer from Bryant in the right corner.
After going on a 12-0 run, the 4th quarter ended with a 39-22 score in favor of the Ravens.
Bryant led the Ravens with 39 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and only one miss from downtown.
"When we went on a run early in the 4th quarter and I was hitting shot after shot with a defender on my face, I knew it was one of those nights. I just need to have the ball and a view of the rim so I can let it fly." said Bryant after only missing a total of 6 shots tonight.
For the Hawks, it was Peja Stojakovic whose effort was wasted. He scored 26 points in 10 of 19 shooting from the field and was the only player to score 12+ or more points for his team.
"We played like crap tonight and we had a meltdown in the 4th quarter. They were just hitting shot after shot against us and we couldn't do anything about it. We shouldn't let this happen again." argued Peja.
NOTES:Ravens were without Brad Daugherty again because of back spasms... Allen was 0 for 3 until their 4th quarter rally.... Stojakovic scored his season-high in points tonight with 26, he currently averages 6.2 ppg....

McGrady looks to fill-in Wilkins' spot
MONTREAL - After getting picked by the Montreal Ravens last night with the 5th pick, Tracy McGrady made a promise to the whole Montreal community.
"I think I've proven myself to a point where I got the attention of an awesome organization to pick me instead of all those little guys last night. So all of you dont need to worry about my 'peculiar playing style' or how I'm going to fit-in with the guys - specially Kobe. I know what he said, I take it as a fuel to power myself to be better and strive harder."
When asked about his role, he replied "I think coach's probably going to make me catch up on their system and stuff like that first before determining what I'm going to do with this team. I know one thing - I ain't gonna be sitting on the bench for a long time. I'm going to be the next Human Highlight Reel, for sure."
Minutes after hearing the news of the Ravens' decision, Kobe Bryant had one thing to say.
"The NBA draft is like sweepstakes. You get something good sometimes but a lot of times, you get disappointments, busts, etc. I'm not pointing any fingers but if it was up to me, I'd rather go with Billups. Just saying."

Ravens sign Kemp - BUT WAIT!
MONTREAL - To what looks like a very good way to start the offseason for the Ravens, the critics are now bashing the franchise for their recent transaction. For the first time in Ravens history, they signed a star player in his prime to a 3-year deal worth $35M in the form of Shawn Kemp or as we like to call him, Reign Man. It was all good for almost the half of the day until news surfaced that the deal that went through was actually a SIGN AND TRADE. The Montreal Ravens signed Kemp and traded him to the Denver Nuggets the same hour. The deal, reportedly, was an agreement between both teams and the player after the Denver Nuggets offered the Ravens picks and a reserve who only played 52 games last season, for the star player.
Shawn Kemp was an All-Defensive 1st Team last season and averaged 26.8 ppg, 9.7 rpg, and 2.3 bpg. While Ben Wallace only played 52 games and averaged 0.7 ppg, 1.2 rpg, and 0.4 bpg in Denver.
"Yes, it's true. We signed and traded away Shawn (Kemp) but something tells me it's for the better of this team. We're NOT trying to lose purposely in this league, we're just going on a process. It takes time but trust me, it will all be worth it in the end." said GM Parker in an interview.
Trade Breakdown:
MON gets:
Ben Wallace
'98 1st Round Pick
'99 1st Round Pick
DEN gets:
Shawn Kemp
