RAVENS WIN SEASON-OPENER IN MONTREAL

Utah Jazz 73 @ Montreal Ravens 97Oct. 30, Montreal - The Ravens' rookie, Kobe Bryant, came to play ball tonight in his debut game. He finished with a team-leading 24 points with 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Bryant also shot the ball particularly well for a rookie entering his first game of his career with high expectations as he only missed 5 attempts to accumulate 10 makes in 15 shots.
It wasn't just the 2nd overall pick that came to play for them tonight. The Ravens' 21st pick, Ray Allen, had 22 points on the night while making 4 of his 5 attempts from downtown.
"I think it was just my competitiveness and drive to prove everybody wrong that motivated me to perform like this. I'll tell you right now though, 24 is a small number for a guy like me. Believe me." said Bryant of his performance tonight.
It wasn't such a great story for the Utah Jazz. Karl Malone attempted 22 shots tonight and managed to only hit 8 of those en route to a 20-point game. Stockton also were of no use for the Jazz in the offensive end where he shot 33% on the field.
"We just couldn't make any defensive stops and they were just rolling past us in fast breaks. Gotta review the tape so this won't happen to us again." Stockton implied on his team's lucid defense.
Montreal led most of the time and Utah only came as close to 4 at one point in the 3rd quarter where they sparked a 17-2 run.
NOTES:The Ravens shot the ball at a 57% clip and got a massive 32 points from the players on the bench......... They also blocked 11 more shots than Utah and once led by 21 points in the 2nd quarter...... Robert Pack was taken out of the game for the whole quarter after his nasty fall but came back early in the 4th quarter... Aaron Williams sent 4 shots away tonight, a career high for him.....
Player of the Game: Kobe Bryant (24 pts, 2 rebs, 2 stls, 10-15 FG, 1-3 3PT)
Ravens:
R. Allen (22 pts, 2 rebs, 2 blks, 4-5 3PT)

RAVENS CLOSE OUT KNICKS IN OT

New York Knicks @ Montreal Ravens 103-113Nov. 11, Montreal - Montreal outscored the Knicks in OT, 10 to nothing, to escape with a victory. The Ravens were led by rookie Kobe Bryant whose been on a tear lately, averaging 27 ppg in the last 5 games, with an outstanding 30-point performance to go along with an impressive 61% in the field.
"I've been having some pain on my left ankle for the entire game but I decided to play through it and I guess it all worked out on my part. For me, I just wanted to close out the game." said the 19 year-old rookie of his performance.
Aside from Kobe, Allen and Williams also stepped up tonight and scored 25 and 22 respectively for the Ravens.
"Even though I didn't shoot the ball quite well as I wanted to, I knew they were all great looks and I'll eventually knock them down. Coach's out there shouting at me whenever I don't let one fly when I'm open so I just did what I was supposed to do." replied Ray Allen when a reporter asked him about his 4 of 12 shooting from downtown.
For the Knicks, it was just 32 year-old veteran John Starks that contributed offensively. Starks finished with 30 points in 50% shooting and a 5 of 9 clip from beyond the arc.
"It was a good game for me but I can't say the same thing to my team. We played like shit tonight as a team and just have to talk about it so we can sort out what was wrong." said Starks.
Eric Montross grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds for the Knicks but was shut down offensively by the inside presence of Williams and Daugherty as he only accumulated 10 points in 4 of 14 shooting.
NOTES:The Ravens improve to 4-3, which makes them 7th in the Eastern Conference..... Brad Daugherty of the Montreal Ravens has been suffering from back spasms since last week but decided to play through it..... The Ravens shot 80% in the FT line compared to the Knicks' 59%...... Montreal got a lot of their points off the bench led by Allen's 25; The Ravens had 40 points off the bench....

RAVENS BLOW 15-POINT LEAD IN THE 4TH QUARTER
Montreal Ravens @ Philadelphia 76ers 94-103
Dec. 1, Philadelphia - The 1st half ended with the Ravens leading the 76ers by 21 points thanks to Bryant's 24-point first half. At the end of the 3rd quarter, the Ravens were still hanging on to a comfortable 15-point lead. 4th Quarter came and it was just pure chaos.
The 76ers opened the 4th quarter with an and-1 and a three-pointer all by 76er sophomore Jerry Stackhouse which cut the lead to 9. With 5 minutes remaining in the game, the Ravens couldn't get a shot to fall for them until a full 2 minutes. By then, Philadelphia inched closer and closer to them and were only 3 points away to take the lead. A three-pointer from Derrick Coleman with 2:03 remaining sent the 76ers crowd on a frenzy. After taking the lead, the Ravens were in panic mode and failed to score again for a minute. Philadelphia finished the game with a 12-2 run and the victory over Montreal.
Philadelphia was led by Carlos Arroyo who had 27 points on the night paired with 9 rebounds and 2 steals. Arroyo also shot the ball perfectly tonight as he shot 11 of 11 attempts.
Although he didn't shoot a perfect 100 for the Ravens, Bryant still managed to score 36 points in total with a 14 for 26 mark.
Kobe Bryant played his first game in his hometown, Philadelphia, after getting drafted this season as the 2nd pick. Bryant has been averaging 24.1 ppg and was met by a mix of cheers and boos from the crowd when the lineups were being announced.
"It's good to be back here, man. Mom, Dad, and the whole family, can finally see me play for the first time. It's like a family reunion and it's been a blessing for all of us." said Kobe.
NOTES:
Aside from the three-pointer that Coleman put up for the lead, the 76ers failed to shoot any more than 1 3PT tonight with 1 for 17 attempts going down for them.... Bryant tied his season-high in points in his hometown.... Daugherty still playing with back spasms.... Ravens shot 41% on the night, a season-low for them.... 76ers outscored the Ravens 54 to 32 in the paint.....

Montreal Ravens point guard Robert Pack will undergo surgery in the coming days to repair a torn mcl, the team announced Friday. No timetable has yet been set for his return to the court. "I'm just happy that I get to stay here longer in Orlando, man. Huge props to the Ravens for letting us break our 6-game losing streak." quoted Shaq.

LATE COMEBACK NOT ENOUGH TO BEAT RAPTORS
Toronto Raptors @ Montreal Ravens 77-70
Jan. 1, Montreal - Toronto had no problems holding back the Ravens in the 1st half and most of the 2nd half but a 10-to-nothing run by the Ravens almost cost them the game. In the stretch of 3 possessions, Kobe Bryant of the Ravens stole the ball 3 times from sophomore Damon Stoudamire which ended on a thunderous dunk on the other end.
The Raptors decided to step up their game with a minute left in the game when Tracy Murray hit a pair of tough jump shots against Dominique Wilkins. After a 4-0 run by the Raptors, the Ravens couldn't answer back and was 0 for 4 in the last minute of the game.
Damon Stoudamire and Tracy Murray led the Raptors tonight with 31 and 28 respectively.
For the Ravens, it was only Bryant who scored 11+ or more points as he ended with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block.

Try to get a decent rebounder for your team. I would love to see Rodman on your team as well as Ilgauskas maybe? Anyways the season doesn't go well for Montreal they're still deep in rebuilding trying to get those draft picks. Not long left until Kobe will be able to step it up for the Ravens.
P.S. I would like to ask you how do you do those html tables?
