... I wanna say that your College mod idea sounds amazing! I feel like you should be able to use the graphic files we have available to the community as long as you credit them. I was thinking about something like this and it would be amazing just to play as schools regardless of the cfs or any kind of player bio. I think we should create a home/away uni for all the colleges that we wont have to update yearly and perhaps we can add some of the better looking jerseys the more popular colleges would be adding. The courts should be a one time thing too, So essentially the mod would be all about school vs school and if people want to play the ncaa mod to play as certain players with cfs and more detail, they should play the current college hoop mod currently in progress. Just my two cents.

I agree All Generic/ Fictional rosters would allow us to focus more on School vs school rather than the real life players and coaches. Also it would provide a chance for us to play as smaller known colleges and Ivy league schools. I thought about how cool this would be when I saw a few youtube videos of commentators using thier MyPlayers characters in College Hoops 2K8. Also if this can be made on 2k14 then there will be a base to create this for 2k16 ( full 2k15 roster editing is not yet possible it appears and I foresee this being possible for 2k16)

Fictional Rosters with REAL cyberfaces (at least as many as there can be) I think is the way to go. The 2K CAP's are just so terrible and identical looking, IMO.

I made the roster months ago. I had help from another user and we were posting files in the March Madness 2k14 thread but adding all the art was way too much work for two people. Also Big Hort changed the naming system for college Jerseys. I was hoping to at least make the huge fictional roster compatible with Big Hort's real roster's but it never worked out. Just to much work and not enough interest in the community.

I'm still working the excel file that allows you to recruit HS players. I must stress I have never coded in VBA before this so I am learning as I go.
I hope to provide a video of this works at some point. Users will need Microsoft Excel 10 or later to run this.

Anyway got a new screen shot of what the actual spreadsheet looks like. The spread sheet and the images shown above are all part of the excel file.

I wish I would have known. I've made fictional rosters for college hoops 2k8, without the help of an editor, using over 120 teams with full rosters. So I would have been happy to help with that insstead. I don't think it would be too much work compared to the time I spent on college hoops 2k8. It would have been worth it

I took a break from coding that recruiting excel file. I haven't looked at it for about a week. I will try to add a few more formulas and updload it by the end of day.
I wanted to incorporate pictures of the prospects when you click on their name but it's a lot of coding that I am not familiar with. It is not impossible though.

Ok. For anyone interested in the recruiting excel tool, here is the most complete version I have. This was created with Excel 2010. Once opened you may need to enable macros.

If you are trying to import your own HS roster, copy the entire players tab from RedMC and past into the "All Recruits tab" (and make sure the numbers are formatted as numbers and not text, in excel).

You guys need to log in to download this and you must have Microsoft Excel. This does not work with Open Office Calc
*Also be sure to save as new file when trying to save

Thanks for the feedback. I could have done more with it but its not worth it at this time. If there is full roster editing for 2K17, I will try to create HS mod again and go more in depth with a recruiting tool.

1) Every time I try to go create a new player the game crashes and shuts down.
2)I can't seem to delete or edit any of the created players in the game either.
3) I have the player I made already created, so if possible it would be great to just insert him into the highschool roster file.
4)For the teams, how would I create a new team and then specify the arena they play in?

1. If you want to add a player just replace one using RED MC.
2. Those players are not Created Players that you can overwrite so they can't be deleted, should be able to edit attributes though.
3. If you already made the player outside of the highschool roster just open RED MC, copy all his info and paste it into the high school roster overwriting any player with RED MC.
(Or send me the roster where the player is already created and I could add him for you)
4. You can't add any teams in game, with this mod. You would need to purchase a RED MC license and add the team that way.

Good to see someone still using this mod. I have not updated this in a very long time. Maybe I should redo the mod and add teams that can easily be overwritten to create your own school.
