Between that and looking completely lost in crunch time in Game 2, he might have lost a few million dollars there. I expect he'll still get handsomely paid, but he might have to settle for a bit less.

Another Vintage Wade performance. Lowry single handedly won it with no Jonas and with Derozan standing and watching
Sun May 08, 2016 7:21 pm
So much for Lowry shooting bad.
R.I.P Heat.

What NOT to do when the greatest song in the world is being played.

I've seen people say that it's much ado about nothing, and it may be being blown out of proportion somewhat, but I think it's fair to call "not cool" on it.

Even though people want to see Cavs destroying the Heat in the next round, it might be for the best that Raptors advance to the next round. Healthy Raptors could put up a better fight.
quite a corundum. watch james or riley & wade fail? it would be great if james and wade just hugged it out then sat out the series
i just want to see someone give the cavs a challenge before they head off to the finals
whiteside's getting the max or close to IMO
Tue May 10, 2016 6:34 pm
I think Riley's gonna convince Whiteside to take less to go after James (again) and Durant. And finally pay Wade what he was worth all these years.
Tue May 10, 2016 8:21 pm
Heat can't afford paying near max to Whiteside and max money to James, Durant, & Wade while they still have Bosh's contract.
Tue May 10, 2016 8:30 pm
Heat are a sinking ship and it can't be easily fixed.
I am just greatly disappointed I really believed Wade really had a good shot going far with this squad if they remained healthy. I guess it goes same for many teams like Bulls but seeing them having made this far then losing another asset to injury, it just sucks.
Also JV's injury pretty much gives Cavs a free pass to the Finals. Whoever survives this round to face them, won't matter much.
Wed May 11, 2016 12:08 pm
nah. the bulls just stink
looks like JV means more to toronto than whiteside does to miami. maybe Casey should leave bismack in there in crunch time to pick up a rebound and run the screen and roll instead of the iso garbage

Cavs should be laughing right now. Everyone's getting banged up in this series. Carroll was gonna be a primary defender against LBJ but 100% health is doubtful now. DeRozan aggregates his injury. For the Heat, Deng now is in jeopardy. ECF will be a total junk show.
I don't know about you guys but this year's Eastern playoffs to me is one of the worst. Cavs are 8-0 so far, potentially 12-0 after next round(only to get raped in the Finals by superior west). And all other eastern conference series have been underwhelming with injuries and uninteresting development.
Thu May 12, 2016 4:26 pm
Doesn't matter. East will fall to GSW/Spurs anyways.
no OT game today??

I'm still finding the whole postseason to be underwhelming, but yeah, the injuries in the East have made that side of brackets even more brutal.

The Boston-atl series was good. Miami-Charlotte also
The east series this round is a stinker compared to the west
Sat May 14, 2016 6:20 am
I thought MIA vs Jordan was nice but Boston's series was not. They had huge injury problem.
Sat May 14, 2016 6:00 pm
Heat are playing extreme small ball with Winslow, Deng at center. Good thing is that it didn't effect their defensive rebounding. Bad thing is that that's the only way they know how to play and teams know.
Sun May 15, 2016 12:06 am
I like the playoffs so far...
In the east, Cavaliers are pretty much steamrolling to the finals, but on the other side of the bracket we have 3 series with 3 game 7s.
In the west I think everybody was expecting Warriors to get to the Conference Finals at least, but OKC in my eyes caused an upset when they finished off the Spurs.

Well... LeBron is gonna finally win the championship for Cleveland, which means he'll stay there, but KD (blaming loss to the GSW on Westbrook ball hogging) will take his talents to Miami in this off-season.
Mon May 16, 2016 9:42 am
Injuries have been wildcards on both sides, but I'll put my hand up and say that I underestimated the Raptors. That said, I'm not sure they'll be able to put up much of a fight against the Cavs.
Mon May 16, 2016 1:59 pm
Well. That's it for the Heat. Long summer coming.
Hopely for the Raptors they will have JV back soon.
Tue May 17, 2016 1:11 am
so what's next for the heat?? most of their key players are up for free agency!
Wade's been a good solider and certainly deserves the last big payday but that almost guarantees the loss of Whiteside. and if there's any truth to windhursts report of Bosh's career in danger... yeesh
Tue May 17, 2016 7:38 am
I think the team is looking hopeless. I half jokingly been saying that I want to see Wade moved. Well, it's actually true. Team's at the end of road. Breaking down Bosh and sporadic superstar Wade can't lead the team no more.
But it's probably unrealistic to think Wade will go elsewhere. I guess Riley will try to keep the team intact as much as possible. But I don't know what other options he has, Whiteside will come expensive, very. If he's toast, the Heat are screwed and will be in search of another Whiteside from ashes of free agency and D-League.
Joe Johnson probably will be re-signed. Deng will be gone probably.
Chances of landing a marquee player from free agency? I don't think broken down Bosh and Wade will attract much.
Tue May 17, 2016 9:26 am
If Bosh's career is over, then I imagine there'll be some kind of cap relief available to them. From a sentimental standpoint, Wade deserves a payday, but from a basketball standpoint, it wouldn't be the wisest move.
Tue May 17, 2016 11:43 pm
I dont think its over. I read his doctors cleared him to play but it was teams docs and management that wanted him to sit out. By the time he can be waived due to health issues, it will be too late anyways.
Perhaps Riley needs to trade away dragic and take a downgrade at PG position, to allow cap space both for Whiteside and Wade.
