I am sorry, but what an annoying thread. Yes, the screenshots are very nice. Would this global (or whatever it is) be worth a try? For sure. Is it realistic, revolutionary, "clearly better" than others? I don't think so.

I think he never intended to release this anyway. A bunch of people asking for a release were ignored, whereas one or two people giving some (constructive) feedbacks seemed to hurt the OP feelings so much to the point that he even canceled the whole thing. I remember there was a guy around who used to make nice global mods in the past. Unfortunately, he was a specialist in teasing people with his work as much as he could, eventually not releasing it at all. He even had a blog, where he could do this all the time he wanted. Familiar, heh? It's interesting to point out that, even though those patches seem to be very nice add-ons to the game, people wouldn't kill themselves if they didn't get to experience those mods. If one doesn't want to release his goddamn work, fine. At the end of the day, who cares? As already said, there are tons of great global patches available anyway.

I am really interested in the Player size and Models. Sure there are a lot of freaking Globals out there but not one Player Model resize posted out there. If stopping the Nano would also stop the Player resize from being released then I would feel like killing a lot of people as not even the steps on how it is done is shared.

I suppose that this is not how the OP modified the player size, but if you search for AC C5 27 38 33 33 inside nba2k14.exe, the very next value is responsible for changing player size globally. Animations seem to get quicker as that value (and consequently the player size) increases. I haven't even tried something more serious about it, so I am just providing random information that may or may not be helpful

and here i thought the player models were increased in size via blender itself. But i am still hoping that is the case maybe I should re learn Cyberface and Model editing and try it myself.

Let me speak on this. I COMPLETELY AGREE with CarolusXCI. This person had absolutely NO INTENTION of releasing this mod. Here we all were, trying to suck his dick, trying our best not to piss him off just for him to release it then proceed to go back to our own global when we realize that it wasn't very good. Why? Because we want more options. More mods, more content = more options and that makes the game better.

This whole "nano technology" is a MYTH. Naming it something cool does not make it real. None of us see what the work is really about unless we try it, and since we haven't tried it it is complete BS. This reminds me of those "next-gen mods" where they claim to take animations or whatever from next-gen games and incorporate them here. Sure the previews look "promising" but all-in-all, it's not what we want, it's not the truth we're looking for either.

This guy is in the same boat as those that keep posting previews of cyberfaces that they sell online. They always want to tease because knowing that people want their work makes them feel better about themselves. It's a harsh truth. I've actually spoken on this before, what makes a modder a true modder. A true modder won't go through all of the previews and will release what they have when they feel that it is ready, while being open to critique.

I like to think of the modding community as a community of artists that listen to each other. People like these are not artists. They don't seem to understand the difference between critique and criticism, they don't know how to read constructive feedback at all. I expect that this is going to be one of those modders that will leave the community because they're not getting what they want (a complete ass-kissing for their mods to be released) and that's fine with that. We've had a lot of people like that come and go here, and they find sanctuary in Facebook where everyone begs for them to release their work, praising them each time they post. It's okay, we don't care.

No offense taken, I understand you are upset because he closed the thread.

There is a big difference between someone who posts work in a forum that CAN be released on the forum, and work that is against the rules to be released on the forum... People seem to be missing this. If he released the global itself, it would be nothing, because the global without the exe is nothing. I stood up for other people's work after a comment was made that nothing compared to "nano technology". If something is false,and insulting, it should be called out. I proved my point with the screenshots I posted.

A true modder for the community wouldn't have dodged all questions, been sneaky about details, insulted others work, or crowned themselves champ before any release. This had a 0% chance of release on here (so don't blame me for that, its the rules), and very very low chance of being released at all (the whole thing is suspect at this point).

Instead of being upset at this not being released, it should be a tribute to others works that those works were chosen openly ahead of this "new technology". I think its a testament to SJs hard work. He was also great at taking in feedback and getting out multiple versions of his work.

People were clammering like crazy about this in the earlier posts, asking a lot of questions, none were met with a response. Just talk of "future proofing" the game. It reminded me of the Devilish animation post (where he said he was taking animations from 2k16 and putting them in 2k14). There was no proof of that actually happening, and his answers to the questions about it were suspect at best. In turn, he never made an official release, and had his thread locked.

We don't need that here. I am a simple modder (basic global edits, event music, jukebox music, facial hair/hair edits, and other art edits). I am thoroughly impressed with the work he was able to get done,I said that before. But people need to be realistic here about what was actually going on in this thread. Also, people do realize that so many awesome globals are out there, and could still be made for this game. This isn't the end of the world.

Totalrebound, I'm sorry that you took what I said as an attack. I for one have never downed anyone's work. There's a lot of talented guys out there and you're one of them. It would have been nice to try this, but it's your choice not to share and I have no problem with that. Like I said, with any mod, it's all about preference. Every modder has the freedom to not share or just share with a select few. I'm a grown man and I have no choice but to respect that. I hope you continue to enjoy creating for this game, even just for personal use

He declared it the best, said that because two people chose the Lebron that was posted that he was shutting it down. Has still not answered questions, hasn't talked about a release timeframe (or how it would be released), or anything else.

The ball is in his court in regards to giving it another try.

I received 3 messages right after I posted the pictures from people asking me to share the global from the screenshots. Of course, all credit goes to SJ, my tweaks were not a huge deal.

I am like Rich in the way that I am a grown man. I have played NBA basketball games religiously since the early 90's (multiple seasons on Tecmo Super NBA basketball). The people that come on here and give false promises, false hope, don't respond to the community, don't give credit where it is due, and come off as sneaky or selfish, I don't have a high tolerance for. You all can be upset, but Ill agree with one of the other posters above, very slim chance this was going to be released. And it couldn't have been released on here anyway.
