Re: 73-9ers vs. Greg Oden's ghost

What a game! Obviously wish this team could have executed better down the stretch in games 2 and 4 but super proud of their play in this series. It's been fun

Curry's knee must be feeling pretty good. Huge performance.

Curry's handle is just as amazing as his shooting. Damn. How does he keep himself so poised in moments of heat, is just beyond me sometimes. No disrespect to Lillard but match up against pointgod CP3 would have been excellent.

This guy just can't be defended. Even Pippen or Jordan in their prime would have been crossed up and had a 30 footer buried in their face.

Cool. Curry came back early to end this series at 5. Might be for the best that he played in this series and shake off the rust before facing next foe.

Props to the Blazers. Could you have believed 2nd round was possible let alone making the playoffs after losing 4 of 5 starters last season: 1 superstar, 2 stars, 1 above avg player in Aldridge, Batum, Matthews, and Lopez? Their replacement came cheap and young and still saw enormous success. Nicely done. :applaud:

Careful, now.

Curry couldn't even shake off Outback Jesus until GS started setting double or triple screens for him to get open.

With today's offense-orientated, defense-curbing rules that's not too far fetched . . .

Recency bias.

Curry is good, no doubt. But let's not get carried away folks.

This. We're all too aware of the nostalgia filter, which is most definitely a thing at times, but we tend to overlook recency bias.

Imagine Curry winning 3rd mvp next season. Discussion will be a moot point. MJ and Pippen simply can't guard him.

Well, that's the other thing. Because the "stupid media" selects the awards, they're meaningless...until they favour an argument someone wants to make, of course. Then they're very meaningful, indeed incontestable proof.

so what i am hearing is larry bird, bill russell and wilt chamberlain could not be guarded by anyone ever. the discussion is moot

Don't forget that Bob Cousy was the first player to score 50+ in a Playoff game. Anything after first is irrelevant.
