Sounds like he's been going through some
rough times for a long time now. Hopefully, he can shed some weight and get healthier, physically and mentally. We've seen enough former NBA players pass away in their 40s and 50s in recent years, let alone the possibility of someone in their 30s.

You have to have some pretty obscene dietary habits to be that obese while playing professional basketball, even in South America. I don't think "hoping" is going to do any good for him, he needs to develop some self respect.

With emphasis to athleticism in today's basketball world, these kind of nice bodies are becoming extinct. Who comes closest? With Baby Davis not around, I think that title belongs to Jared Sullinger though he comes nowhere close to Sweetney.
