This happened to me when going from the main menu into the options. It has also happened to be when going into other things, like MyLeague. Sometimes it happens, other times it doesn't.

This time it crashes when I tried to open Upgrades menu in MC. I don't sure it's because of 2KTV 'cuz I didn't open it.

For those of you with laptops and VideoSettings.cfg files that mention the integrated Intel graphics at the bottom rather than your AMD graphics card, there has been a beta driver update by AMD 2 days ago (15.10):

There's a fix that might potentially resolve your issues.

I downloaded this driver but it didn't work to resolve my prior issues. My VideoSettings.cfg still has intel graphics instead of AMD at the bottom and the crashes are still happening.

My team, RTTP, tried workaround, checked all files on steam. Haven't been able to finish one game after last patch.

Come on man before the patch i could at least play mycareer without crash, haven't had a single one since the release, now i am crashing there as well?! What is going on?

Game was working before the patch and even after. Now it keeps crashing at the title screen. Steam user name EggieJ25. Been happening since around 1pm Eastern time.

If you guys modded the game prior to the patch, that's what's causing this most likely. Verify your game cache.

If you're crashing on the title screen after having booted the game between approximately 8AM and 10.30AM PST, you'll want to delete your SYNC.BIN file:

1. Go to your Steam directory (usually C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam)
2. Go to the userdata folder.
3. Go into the folder in there. It looks like a string of numbers, but it should be the only folder in there.
4. Go into the 370240 folder. These number strings tie to different games. 370240 is NBA 2K16. Don't go into any other folder.
5. Go into the "local" folder.
6. Delete SYNC.BIN.
7. Go into Steam, boot up 2K16, allow the game a few minutes to update, and it's good to go. If you get a “Please wait, retrieving data from 2K Sports Server” prompt, do NOT cancel it. Let it finish downloading the latest data.

Your saves should still be there. You can check the remote folder (next to the local folder where SYNC.BIN was located) and they'll still be there. You need to wait for the game to download the data updates again, and then you'll be able to access of your saves. If you're getting no description available, you should still be able to go into them once the data update has downloaded and their descriptions will be updated.

It is very important you wait for the data update to complete. I don't know exactly how many megabytes it is, but once it finishes downloading your saves should be accessible again.

Glad to hear that, can u think off any possible workaround before u guys come out with the patch? Or just tell me if it's GPU related.

st0jke, no, it's audio related. If I figure out any workaround I'll let you know. In the meantime, you might want to try the standard stuff, such as updating to the latest drivers for your audio chipset, and so on.

Hey Leftos, sorry for being impatient, any news on that sound fix? Really stupid situation that i can't play myteam mode

After the latest patch my game closes almost immediately after opening. It gets to the screen with Steph Curry's picture and just closes without any warning or messages.

Ok I should have read more before posting. I deleted my sync.bin file and the game now works. It's annoying to even have to do this at all with unmodified files but whatever.

Which saves do you believe you've lost, and how did you determine that?

Hey Leftos, how come there is no indication of when the game is downloading updates? I ask because I have had to delete my sync.bin multiple times and I'm always annoyed when I'm waiting for it to finish redownloading because I have no idea how far it has to go..

Hi Leftos. My Game crashed always in MyLeague, when i play the match, sometimes i 2nd quarter, sometimes in 4th. I cannot finish even one game. i dont try in other game modes. No matter the game is connected or disconnected, just freeze for c.a. 2 sec and shutting down. My PC is E8400 3 ghz, GeForce 550Ti, 4 GB RAM.

In my GM mode, the game crashes when loading the offseason (prior to Draft Lottery) during year 2034. How can I fix this?

Wolves86, your issue is the generic audio crash we've been seeing that we believe is fixed in Patch 3. I don't have any specific recommendations other than the basics of trying to get the latest audio drivers or trying to disable sound altogether for now.

Dear Leftos, no it's not fixed after the patch 3, excatly the same happens to me as Wolves86 described, no need for logs, it's excatly like that.

The PC version hasn't received Patch 3 yet.
