MyPark cheese - list it here

Sun Nov 01, 2015 5:43 pm

Let's make this thread for publicly shaming those losers who try to exploit the game by either hacking or cheesing. I'll start. Feel free to add. And 2k devs, please get rid of the CHEESE.

1) Cheat Engine - obvious enough
2) Spider like monkey arms that go on forever
3) Scrubs who need to exploit the "pick" button to camp in the paint and grab rebounds. (this is a major pet peeve of mine as I'm a 6' 3" PG. Most scum who exploit this bs is already 7'6" tall) For those who don't know, if you "set a pick" In the paint, no one can box you out and you can camp there all day grabbing rebounds if you're tall enough. Devs, please give them zero rebounding ability if they're pressing "set pick. "

3) I find that when you go in there and deny them with intense D + right stick and instantly press the box out button as soon as shots go up, you can box them out pretty good. But yeah, just give us 3 seconds in the paint and everythings fine...

Number 3 is partly the reason why I like Pro-Am more. Those guys are usually found out pretty quickly with the 3 second rule.

The fact that the "pick" button is able to be exploited isn't the fault of the players exploiting it. I will never understand why people will blame "faulty" game mechanics on the players exploiting it. If you were able to exploit something in real life, would you not do it?

No, because you are exploiting it at the expense of someone else. Do whatever the heck you want until you start harming other people. And in this case, it is harming the game's mechanics and the other players on the other team. Taken to an extreme example, if there was a well known exploit where you press up up down down left right left right and you instantly add 21 pts to your score, isn't that cheese if you use it? You have no realistic reason to have won the game but you just chose to. And the vast majority of people are decent human beings and do not.

The worst of it is that they're freaking massive 7' 6" Centers being boxed out by a PG with 57 rebounding ratings. You REALLY need that effing advantage???

So, if you were in the NBA and the opposing teams weakness is the pick and roll, you would not exploit it? I'm not saying I agree with people abusing the pick and roll, it partly ruins the online experience for myself. I however do understand why people abuse it, because they can. I'm not going to blame them for abusing it, I blame 2K for the broken game mechanics.

Humans will always look for an advantage, so we'll always exploit things when we can. It's simple human nature, no need to get your panties in a bunch over it.
