Finding an Opponent forever. Cannot earn VC.

I bought 2k16 yesterday, and is it just me or you cannot earn VC on normal games anymore? And I cannot find a match and even with a friend it always sayss "Your data is out of sync" or something like that. This is frustrating.

Do you have your game updated?

Yes. I used a backup from my friend who preordered the game. Updated the game via the patch steam released 2 days ago. Still nothing.
