Talk about NBA 2K16 here.

I've asked this question before two years ago but wanted more insight before I made a purchase.
Anyone playing 2k16 PC on an ultra wide monitor (21:9 or so ratio)? Or on dual monitors? I'm wondering if you can somehow fit the entire bball court on the screen at all times without the camera panning left and right as you advance the ball. That would be a huge advantage for seeing someone down the floor for a full court pass.
Can you post screenshots maybe?

I have an ultra wide monitor and it works perfectly. All you have to do is go to the video settings and select the 2560X1080 option and then turn off aspect ratio correction. You can see the entire court - I use the traditional 2K camera - as well as further back into the arena. It is pretty cool looking.

Yeah, only problem is that everything 2D is stretched, like the scoreboard and the player icons, but it's a small price to pay.

If only the scoreboard was on the middle screen...
How'd you get it to not stretch the scoreboard, though?

Dunno, I've just set the resolution, did not enable aspect ratio correction and it works.

TBM, make sure UI_ASPECT is set to 1 in your VideoSettings.cfg file. That should be the default, but just in case.

Daaamn this looks sweet. Just last year I had LG's 34inch ultrawide monitor (
http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34UM95 ... de-monitor) that I sold to get Benq's 32inch 1440p monitor (
http://m.benq.com/product/monitor/bl3200pt/) since even after the patch nba 2k15 still had black bars @21:9 aspect ratio.
Dommy73, which monitor do you have?

as a guy who has a phobia of lizards, I almost shit myself.

That looks awesome! Do you find that the players are too small though without the default camera zooming effect?

Are these your three monitors' screens stitched together on photoshop? Wonder if there is a way to get the camera to center the court in the middle so it doesn't have to pan left or right at all. Seems like it's too far right - I don't need to see so much crowd on the right.

Haha, it's just a cloth filled with fine sand. Token for a good luck while gaming

No, not really. I was tinkering with camera a bit though after taking the first screenshot.
JWL3 wrote:Are these your three monitors' screens stitched together on photoshop?
Nope, it's nVidia Surround - it makes Windows think there is only one display, so this is exactly what you get when you save a screenshot. No shop required.

Funny enough that's something I was discussing with Jao. But given the amount of players using this setup (maybe just me?

) it's something than will definitely not have high priority.
That makes me wish I could work for VC and put it there myself

Haha, yeah. It's probably just you. Can't believe 2k gives you that resolution option. Kudos to them for accommodating strange resolutions.

Technically it should be easier to make it universal rather than few selected resolutions. Plus it really looks like one big display to OS.

I had nothing to do with this getting implemented, but it's implemented in patch 3 for PC

Holy shit.

I am about to take this to the bathroom and pleasure myself to that video. Unbelievable. Does any other game have such incredible post-release support and responsiveness from the dev team? Three patches already, banning cheaters, adding cameras and resolutions. Love you guys man.
Definitely gonna be on the lookout during Black Friday next week for a 34" widescreen monitor.
Sat Nov 21, 2015 7:32 pm
JaoSMing,
What resolution is the game on for that video, or does it not matter? (Can be done on any monitor just with black bars on top and bottom).
Wondering if a 34" 21:9 widescreen will produce a fixed court where the players are big enough to see. Hard to tell on the video as I'm viewing it on my ipad.

It can be done on any monitor, any resolution. I would recommend trying it on your 16:9 before buying something new (even though ultrawide is fuggin amazing in every game I've played so far)

I have a 21:9 24" that is 2560x1080. I can see everyone fine, but it is too disorienting for me. I'm sure I could get used to it, but I love Beluba and my close 2K cams. I like seeing details at the expense of not seeing the entire court (which incidentally, the ultrawide helps with, heh).

I think it's best suited for a triple monitor setup rather than 21:9, honestly. That way, the zoom is equivalent to the regular broadcast camera view for each monitor.

Amazing! Where is this option located?

Just like the video shows. Cameras, it only works for broadcast generic.
