Talk about NBA 2K16 here.

I know this ain't going to be possible, but 2k really needs to reward customer loyalty and allow us to transfer our players and even VC over. Every year is the same: I get 250k VC from grinding through game after game. And my character is finally maxed out. And just in time to start all over again. I'm probably in the top 10% of 2k players in terms of hours played (450) and I'm barely into season two. How is ANYONE going to make it to the Hall of Fame without simming a ton of games and seasons?
I get that 2k doesn't want people to go into MyPark on day 1 with 99 ratings, but that happens with cheesers who buy VC anyway. I guess 2k thinks it's worth pissing off the majority of loyal customers to make a few more bucks on VC purchases.

The storyline would make no sense if you were already a beast. I think asking to carry over MyLeague stuff is more reasonable.

It would be nice if we were able to transfer MT points and VC.
About Hall of Fame, it would be nice if you have more goals to achieve to join HOF. No one can possibly make it to thw HOF and having 3-4 yeara of experience... It's way too easy.

Something like ~15% of the VC you had gets carried over would be nice. Sadly, it's 2k and they won't do that...

That's the issue with releasing a game every year, but having game mods that can last up to a few years. There has to be a line connecting the previous title to the succeeding one. NBA 2K15 and NBA 2K16 needs some sort of backwards compatibility with at least one mode (MyLeague/MyTeam/MyCareer). Especially with these new player profile-istic stuff (MyCourt, Pro-Am, etc.) these new stuff definitely need to be carried over to NBA 2K17.

I'm definitely in favour of having some sort of loyalty bonus, as far as being able to get a head start on MyCAREER. There's potentially an issue with the story I guess, although seeing as how previous games had you be a top prospect while rated in the 60s, allowing you some small boost (and not a maxed out 99, even if you were there the previous year) shouldn't mess things up too much. I feel that if you're meant to be good enough to make the league and see some significant time, you should be at least rated in the 70s when you start out, anyway.
MyPARK and Pro-Am do add something else to consider, but a lot of people do buy the game every year anyway, so I imagine there'd be a lot of people gaining that loyalty boost, evening things out. Again, make it a small boost, a bit of a leg up and not a maxed out 99, and it'd work fine.

I think they should at least let you transfer some of your VC from the previous game, or just let you use that VC to purchase glamours for your player and not skill points.
The excuse that "story wise you can't be a superstar from the get go" is really weak......for example last year you were an "undrafted uncertainty" but nothing stopped you from purchasing sh*t loads of VC and maxing your guy on minute 1 and there went your "story wise".... the only difference between transfering previous VC and purchasing new ones is that 2k would earn less money really

Indeed. Transferring over some VC - or a decent amount of bonus VC for having the previous game installed, as a loyalty bonus - wouldn't be out of line.

Yup, games like Mass Effect let you import your old character. Maybe make him a playable character at least, not the star of this new movie. Otherwise, it's just a grind to go from game to game trying to get VC. Honestly, the only highlights of grinding was when there were cut scenes. I'm no fan of Spike Lee, but hopefully, MyPlayer mode has a ton of cutscenes to keep us interested from game to game so at least it feels like there's some sort of storyline.
Gotta hand it to 2k, kudos to them for making a sports game into a story. Love the expanding modes year after year. Now, please, get rid of cpu assist and momentum!!!
