Lin announces he's going to Hornets

Free agent point guard Jeremy Lin announced on Instagram on Wednesday night that he'll be signing with the Charlotte Hornets. Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports the deal is for two years, $4 million-plus.

Lin's season in Los Angeles was the fourth team he'd played with in his five-year career. Lin played well, but he was never a fit to re-sign after the Lakers drafted D'Angelo Russell with the No. 2 overall selection -- especially after the emergence of Jordan Clarkson last season.

Well... Lin should be a fine back up to Kemba Walka. But I was hoping he'd start somewhere.
