see your point... i just felt that okafor and towns russel and cauley stein could be quite lower rated considering the general player rating of all players beeing lower then it was before in 2k or meds roster. Just to balance it out.

I was agreeing with you. I always edit draft classes prior to starting an association. I don't mind if a guy is in the 80's in his 2nd season but it's rare to have a player be that good in season 1 especially to start the season.

Been checking out your roster Kevin and noticed a view things with the player RATINGS. ( according to albys back in the days u couldnt really just change things and overal ratings dont tell the whole truth so maybe im wrong when it comes to this new way of giving ratings) i took the most obvious ones to me

1) Rookies to me seem to be slightly overrated, Especially the big guys could be 78 instead of 80 to me but thats my taste also considering parker and wiggins beeing only 80.

2)some players i noticed to me where under and overrated. I only looked as far as Lakers:

Covington: underrated
Snell: underrated
Varejao: overated slighly ( durablity to high ?)
Lebron: Stamina should maybe go down by 1 or 2 due to age
Kyrie Irving: Durability should be lower ? he is quite injurt prone
Vince Carter: 3pt procentage to high ? he didnt shoot good from three this year. Reg season .297 Playoffs .250
Chris Bosh: Seems to be better then 80 to me in overall. Dont know why. Maybe his durability should be a little lower due to his health issues though
Wade: isnt he better then his rating but with low durability ? I mean when he is healthy he plays like an all star
Cousins: Best big man in the league together with Davis. Should be close to 90 overall to me
Rudy Gay: isnt he better overal then 78 ? maybe slightly ?
D. Russel: as many rookies maybe overrated but his dunk should be higher then 25 or ? he does dunk does he?

Kamisky vs rudy Gobert ... just and exemple. Kaminsky has a higher overall rate

Jordan Clarckson: should be better as pg ? he is really talented to me
Jeremy Lin: Also not a horrible point guard. Maybe 75 overall instead?
Boozer: Also not bad when he plays.. maybe lower minutes stamina and durablity but still skillfull.

this is what i saw now myself.. only looked as far as lakers.

Please guys way in on my opinion. I watch a lot of basketball so i only want to help.

I did most of the players' ratings, and I honestly agree that most rookies were rated a but too high. I found that doing edits with them were extremely difficult. Most rookies had impressive stats prior to the NBA Draft and basically I couldn't really know whether they'd maintain that in their transition to the NBA so I left most of them untouched or decreased their ratings a bit.

But I'd like to give out some points on your comment:

• Covington- as much as I'd like to rate him higher, he put up impressive numbers on a terrible team with a PER below league average (the average is 15.00 and he has 14.75). Remember Jodie Meeks? He put up good numbers on a terrible team (Lakers in 2013-14 season) and his production and minutes went slightly down on a mediocre team this year
• Snell- Sorry, I haven't really looked into his ratings XD
• Varejao- I had an internal debate whether let either Mozgov or Varejao get higher ratings since they never really had a chance to play together. Varejao had an injury to cut his season short so I couldn't really make any comparisons when they're both active in their rotations. Who knows? If Varejao was healthy they might've made him a starter over Mozgov and might've had a better production
• LeBron- I haven't edited him because I was satisfied with his 96 overall. But yeah I'll take that minor adjustment into consideration
• Irving- Same reason as LeBron but I'll adjust his durability
• Carter- I'll look into that
• Bosh and Wade- they were originally rated lower, I raised it up a bit for this update. I agree with your points though. So do you want it to be higher then?
• Cousins- Yes, I read the B/R report and agree with that but I didn't really touch his ratings though.
• Gay- Same reason as Bosh and Wade. He posted a very high PER, and I agree with you that he should get an increase. But then again, he put up great numbers on a bad team.
• Russel- I'm not sure about the rookies at all...sorry.
• Kaminsky vs Gobert- same reason as Russel and most rookies.
• Clarkson and Lin- I had a difficult time deciding whether to adjust their ratings or not, both had good numbers and PER (Lin was slightly higher than league average while Clarkson was higher) but those stats were put up on a really bad Laker team and not to mention that both of them put up a bad Defensive ratings per 100 possessions (112 for Clarkson and 110 for Lin). And putting Lin on 75 would make him better than Darren Collison and Reggie Jackson who had more minutes (the coach trusts them more), had better stats (PPG, etc.) and had a higher PER. So I doubt that.
• Boozer- Hmmmm...maybe...

I'm planning to make another version of the roster where Wade and the others are Free Agents and the other version is they are in their last team that they played with for MyCareer/Association stuff.

What do you guys think?

i tried this when making my free agency roster with players moved to projected places and i put some straight into free agency because their future at the time was basically anyone's guess, but when running association, it took forever for any of them to get picked up.

monta ellis- picked up 3 weeks in
robin lopez- picked up 4 weeks in
deandre jordan- picked up around allstar weekend
wesley matthews, lou williams, tobias harris, paul pierce, al-farouq aminu- never picked up. (not even in the next year)
so leaving all of them in free agency may or may not work. in mycareer, none of them ever got picked up. not even ellis.

also: i think the rookie contracts are messed up. they all seem to be on one-year contracts?

edit: just thought i'd point this out, cause matthews, williams, and harris atleast deserved to be on teams. and if mycareer doesnt sign any free agents during the season, i'd hate to be playing it without lebron james the first season. lol
edit2: could you get in touch with whoever made the cyberface for mike conley in the UBR. it looks sooo much better than the 2k standard one you have in your roster currents and i always go in and change it whenever i download your updates.

Like does it mean centimetes ? Or is it just a quality.. and is it absolute or relative. Rusself Westbrook having 90 vert doesnt jump higher like a Wilt Chamberlain with 80 does he.. (just and example)

All I know is if you lower it, players would jump lower than average.
