I don't know about you guys but goddamn, the music used by that guy is spot on.
PS: might wanna watch it in 1080p cause of low quality.

All stars can do this. That's what the league does to separate them even further from the rest of the pack.
Thu Jun 25, 2015 9:03 pm
lol some of those are so bad and the last one is pure arrogance
Thu Jun 25, 2015 9:31 pm
It's nothing that a lot of other stars haven't gotten away with over the years, but yeah, some pretty bad ones there. Mind you, Kendrick Perkins' travel was the most mind-bogglingly blatant of them all.

its annoying that the nba just allows it. i understand that they want the game to be as offensive as possible but please try to keep some of the games integrity

I agree. It bears mentioning that the speed of the game is a factor as well, so it's fair enough that some borderline calls will be missed, along with the odd "superstar call" or two. But call the really blatant stuff.
I'm probably more bothered by the inconsistency of block/charging and continuation calls, though.

It almost seems the refs are reluctant to call travelling calls. Palming too. Perhaps because it helps players to make more sportscenter worthy highlights?
I don't like it. It's cheap. LBJ seems to be a regular culprit that takes maximum advantage of the situation.

The worst are the blatant switches of the pivot foot when he's down in the post.
But I hate when people dissect his dunk gathers. Yeah if you watch it FRAME BY FRAME you can question when exactly he put the ball on the floor, but that's pointless. Go by what you see in real time.
This is not a travel. Everybody who plays basketball has to see that.

nothing bothers me more than the offensive player creating the contact and the refs calling foul on the defense. thats number 1 for me. so sick and tired of guys pump faking and then jumping into the defender and getting the call

this is exactly what they used to call on jordan all the time when he entered the league. not the gather but the fact that he moved both feet before putting the ball on the ground.

The league REALLY needs to sort this out and stop stars getting away with not using basic fundamental footwork when going to the basket but WTF when it comes the Perkins clip in that video there are 3 refs out there SOMEBODY should be watching that.
Stars getting away with traveling is one of my pet hates, it has being for some years now after my local league team was knocked out in the playoffs when there player took 4 steps to lay in a game winner and that was actually the 2nd travel he made on the play the first is when he fumbled the pass and walked with the ball......
The nba doesnt seem to care about traveling though as only this season i was watching the top 10 plays of the week on nba.com no less and there number 1 play was an ally oop but the passer took 3-4 steps before throwing the pass from half court in the first place.

Oh yeah sure. That's debatable. But in the video in the OP the travel was supposed to be in the gather, which is bull.

It's close, it dances the line. In other league it'd be called, but it's far from the most problematic non-call in the NBA, travel or otherwise.

agreed. the video that "fan" made has some really bad travels and then a couple that discredit the video because they are very questionable. if you are making a video to make someone look bad you shouldnt have to dig that deep otherwise it could make people think it does not happen that often at all.
Fri Jun 26, 2015 10:29 am
A couple of bad examples don't genuinely discredit the valid ones, but they do appear to have that effect.

Phil Jackson says LeBron James travels all the time"I watch LeBron James, for example," he said. "He might [travel] every other time he catches the basketball if he's off the ball. He catches the ball, moves both his feet. You see it happen all the time. There's no structure, there's no discipline, there's no 'How do we play this game' type of attitude. And it goes all the way through the game. To the point where now guys don't screen—they push guys off with their hands."
Fri Jun 26, 2015 11:33 am
Yeah, Jax had a lot to say in that piece. Apparently he doesn't much care for the current NBA game...though a couple of his criticisms seemed a bit strange, given that the last two NBA champions have employed the ball movement and facilitating that he admires.

On the other hand, at least I see now how much is 2K15 realistic.

I completely agree.

Some of the gathers i dont mind if its a harmless half gather but its the ones in close games that mean something when he is clearly given an edge by the refs.
