Strong hints of it on
Twitter and
Facebook.
"At it's best, the story can turn a jumpshot into the shot." What does this mean for you? 6/24 #BeTheStory #NBA2K16

Sounds like MyCAREER info.

Might mean you'd have to follow Jordan's achievements? That's what all I'm getting from the twitter comments.

Possibly, though MJ highlights are as good as anyone else's as far as making a point about achieving greatness and being a memorable sports story. Of course, Spike Lee did do commercials with MJ, back in the day.

From what we got so far my guess for the story will be that this year we'll get to have clear cut future star. Instead of starting as the worst player from D-league ratings wise.

I just hope there's going to be at least 2 or 3 ways you could start your career. Either be a known college player (aka KAT/Okafor), an undrafted player that gets signed in the D-League, or a 50th-60th pick in the draft by a very good team then they bench you every time because the position that you wanted to play is currently filled by a star then you'd have to work your way out in practice and you have to impress the coach, etc.

I would also appreciate some technical news. Though I assume that the franchise won't take advantage of DX12/Vulcan until at least next year (not dev's fault in any way).

Maybe a legends mode.

It reads like they will be embellishing events in a mode or modes and give a sense of importance to certain context. Either that or they have figured out a way to "storyline" your career or association, kind of like how players do their dynasty/association/mycareer threads.

As long as the story doesn't thrust you into the position of being an immediate star, while having to work your way up from 64 overall.

Imagen if they let you be Jahil Okafor or a different top pick with their ratings(idea is from MADDEN PC)
Or gave normal attributes.

You could be the star with overall rating 64... in high school. Wasn't something like that hinted?

I meant once you're in the NBA. There have been hints of a high school portion of the story; a bunch of players rated in the 60s wouldn't be out of the question for that.

Yup, I hope the high school, maybe college will solve the annual "65 overall starter" issue.
