I never realized play-off performance can affect someone's standing on the season MVP race, if it was, LeBron would've won it by a landslide.

LBJ is barely shooting above 40% from the field in the playoffs. Gimme his body and strength and I could shoot above 50% ez pz.

Lol, what a joke.

He did compensate it in other areas like play-making and rebounding and except for game 4, he was phenomenal and did everything he could to carry his team. I really considered myself a kind of a LeBron hater and criticize him objectively and magnifying his mistakes but this series is different, he's just ballin' out there.

Same way Allen Iverson compensated for his poor shooting. Yes, his shooting in the playoffs this year is within Iverson's territory.

Unfortunately, not all MVP performances and efforts are rewarded by a championship.

Iverson actually shot the ball better. But LeBron is averaging almost a triple double. I doubt he will find a way to improve his shooting percentages but will continue to make an amazing impact all around.

Iversons 2001 regular season campaign didn't deserve an MVP. Duncan and Shaq were both more deserving. In the Playoffs, he only scored 2 more points per game than Shaq and 3 more than Kobe.
EDIT: I mention scoring because people often believe he was head and shoulders above everyone else in that category.

Not even close as effective on scoring nor any other aspect.

Media.

Shaq was Shaq.

You have become the semi-retarded ex-girlfriend on LeBron James.

name callings, ad hominem. Typical LBJ ass lickers.

LBJ hasn't played well in this year's playoffs, not even against single coverage. That is a fact, idiots. I am not the one pretending to know about stats here, aren't I. LeL, nor did you guys watch any games seriously? Ignorance here is enormous I can't even conceive. LBJ is having the worst playoffs in years yet you ass lickers can't lick ballz and ass hair.

Go out, meet new people. You'll find a man who will treat you better than LeBron.

I heard Dellavedova likes to try new things, give him a call.

What is this nonsensical pitiful attempt at insult? Not even funny or anything, or you might as well stick to the topic.

Bogut has barely been too the line this series. Even before he was benched

So his Game 3 performance was nothing? Okay.

This was in response to the post mentioning part of the cavs being effective was because they would foul bogut when he gets the ball off the pick.

NovU wrote:Not that he hasn't been playing well, I wouldn't rave about it like he's some sorta Kawhi that's gone unrecognized.

If you're referring to Iguodala, in his prime he was at least as good. A defensive anchor from the perimeter - and very, very few players deserve that title. His impact on team defense is enormous for someone who isn't a rim protector.

Today he's still elite, but playing a limited role and limited minutes (until the finals began, I suppose) in an attempt to protect his health, and I guess Kerr likes him being the leader of the second unit as well.

NovU wrote:You guys realize defense has been leaving him open systemetically, right? (kinda like SAS was fine with Griffin taking mid range) The Cavaliers are giving him room while tightenig and trapping Curry and Thompson at all cost.

Of course they are. Point is, it's not working out all that well for them. Iggy has been draining those open looks. Never been an elite shooter, but give him the Rondo treatment and he will make you pay.

By the way, that makes him a pretty weird Rondo treatment target, because in this series, the same cannot be said for Barnes or Green (brick city, both of them), let alone Bogut who looks to pass even if he has an open layup and on the rare occasion he decides to shoot, it looks as if he's chucked a potato at the rim and, unsurprisingly, missed badly. I was wondering how long it would take for Kerr to bury his ass on the bench as he wasn't exactly doing a splendid job protecting the rim, either.

NovU wrote:Or are you trying to say that Iggy is the MVP?

Way too early to be saying that anyone is the MVP, but if all that's been going on through 4 games keeps up (a big and unlikely if) and GS wins... yes, I think Iguodala is MVP. That said, I don't think he would actually get it. Curry has been wildly inconsistent and tends to disappear for pretty long stretches. Thompson has been pretty bad except for one game. The defensive attention they still gather is big (Curry in particular), but Iguodala being the only anti-LeBron weapon GS has is equally big. You probably saw LeBron's numbers when Iguodala is on the bench in my previous post and they're not looking pretty for the Warriors.

Game 5 predictions?

I'll take the Warriors, in a much closer game than Game 4. Another triple double for LeBron.

Warriors had the better start through the first six minutes or so, but J.R. Smith's got the Cavs right back into the game. No 0/8 performance today.

Mon Jun 15, 2015 10:47 am

Smith is definitely feeling it.

This is an odd game to watch, Sport1 decided they don't like Breen/JvG/Jackson this game so I've got all the court sounds and every other normal sound even Doris except for those guys doing the usual commentary.

It's quite quiet to be honest.

Edit: they're back. What a stupid call with the double foul when Delly is clearly holding Green's arm.
