NBA 2K16 Release Date & Pre-Order Bonuses

As per today's announcement, NBA 2K16 will be released on September 29th. 2015. However, pre-order customers can get their hands on the game four days early on September 25th, and will also receive in-game bonuses in the form of 10,000 VC and MyTEAM VIP...whatever that may turn out to be.

I don't want to play in a shoot and run game with too quickly gameplay. There would be a NBA sim or another NBA Jam? This is my open question...

Too early for information like that. It seems safe to assume that the core modes - MyCAREER, MyGM, MyLEAGUE, MyTEAM - will be returning. As for specific gameplay improvements, new features, and so on, we'll learn about them in time.

I'm guessing PC too, eventually. I assume it'll be digital only again this year, so unlike the console versions which will offer physical media in addition to digital versions, pre-orders won't be available immediately.

Wouldn't be surprised if they decided to cut PS360 this year...

In addition to Early Tip-Off Weekend access, NBA 2K16 pre-orders will include the following in-game bonuses:

10,000 Virtual Currency (VC);
MyTEAM VIP Package:

• New-Gen & PC - 3 MyTEAM Emerald Packs each with a guaranteed Emerald player;
• Prior-Gen - MyTEAM Gold Booster Pack with Guaranteed Gold Player and 4 additional Gold items.

PC is mentioned as getting the same preorder packs as PS4 & X1, so yes preorder for PC (but remember, you can preorder on Sept 24th after previews and such if you want to wait on more details)

The NBA Finals and/or the NBA Draft usually present good opportunities to do that, though nothing's been said publicly and it isn't a given.

With physical copies, I'm guessing you might want to pre-order at least a week or so ahead of time just to be sure. As far as I'm aware, the PC version (if that's the one you're after) is digital only again this year.

Amazon also has a best price guarantee, so if they drop their price after you pre-order, you'll be refunded the difference.

Graphics will be exactly the same as in 2K15. They already used up all the power of the filthy little consoles. At least you can play it without problem in 4K/60FPS on PC.
