Completely deserving with stats and team record to back it up.

Well-earned. Harden had a case, LeBron's always going to be in the discussion (especially once the Cavs started getting it together) and Anthony Davis had a fine season, but it's tough to argue against Curry.

Yeah I think he deserves it looking at how he has changed the culture totally in GS and I don't think it has anything to do with Steve Kerr as that is pretty much the same team that Mark Jackson had during his time there but they have just started clicking and Curry has being such a huge part of that culture.

Harden as we know was a close 2nd but I think the league made the right choice.

It was only couple years ago people telling me I fucked up drafting him in 3rd round of fantasy league because he's a pedo and his ankle wasn't going to hold. That season alone he gave a league top 3 fantasy value. Not bad for a 3rd rounder that nobody wanted.

He came a looong way in such a short time period.

I remember all that talk about his ankle; people were suggesting that he skip All-Star Weekend, because of his supposed fragility. At the time, I suggested that if he was so fragile that participating in All-Star events posed a serious risk, then he couldn't exactly be considered franchise player material. I figured concerns about his ankle were premature, but at the same time, I wasn't sure about him becoming the star that he has. It's great to see him prove a lot of people wrong, and flourish as one of the league's marquee players.

I guess people just like proclaiming and predicting flops and failure. I remember Kevin Durant and John Wall were both written off by some people after their rookie seasons, which weren't their most efficient. Now, they're highly regarded, and rightfully so.

The story of how Stephen Curry's agent and dad didn't want the Warriors to draft him

Something we should probably keep in mind, when we wonder how X number of teams can pass on players like Curry, and why Player X goes before Player Y. A good or bad pre-Draft workout, and behind the scenes politics and threats/assurances, can certainly influence these things. That's not to say that execs don't make boneheaded moves, but it's not always cut and dry.

For sure Andrew. Great point.

Even his teammate Klay Thompson has his own story to share about the draft. He wanted to be drafted by the Lakers but opted to play one more college season because the Lakers weren't interested.

Seems to me, the big markets will always have the advantage no matter what.

deihatein, are those cool to watch? I don't see the point of doing a youtube video of a guy shooting three-pointers every now and then. It's impressive but is it worth it
