No, I gave you the answer. Deal with it.

You started off in this thread bitching and complaining about how the tool isn't coming out fast enough for your liking, and now you keep begging for the tool early. If you want a 3D editor right now, how about you code one yourself instead of begging and complaining? You haven't contributed one thing to this tool. Not a bug report, not a filetype that hasn't been found yet, not a donation, nothing. It's just "Give me, give me, give me". You come off as incredibly bratty.

The tool will be released when it's ready to be released, and that's all there is to it.

I will try to end this dramatic conversation here and ask Greg if the new tool allows us to apply more files at once, instead of one by one. Thank you in advance (Y)

Nope this (according to the timetable) has been planned to be the major update of version 0.29. Its way too much work, and needs no rush, because a single mistake in the code and i'll jump off the window :P

Lagoa: Even if i wanted to send a beta version, it practically does not do anything new at the moment, even if you could export the models in 2k15 format, there would be no way to import it back.

PS: Hi Mom

Even beta version which allow us just EXPORT the head models with uvmaps would allow us a lot more to do with cyberfaces.

You haven't contributed shit to this tool, so no "respect" needs to be shown. Stop being selfish and let the tool get done. This isn't all about you.

Yeap 1P and 1O are completely moddable like all the rest archives.

Well you don't need the new version of the tool for that. You need the Blender Script which is going to be released first eventually, after the export capability has been added.

Just a little more patience. Once i got some more time i'll finish this stuff.

Ah, yeah i completely forgot to test that after the latest fixes. So i just tested it and the court looks like this:

Pretty much the same stuff works here as well, so i think that all models will work like a charm (unless i haven't implemented a very specific parsing function that a part may need in addition to all the existing ones, but thats a matter of seconds to fix, if it happens). I bet this particular 2nd uv map should be the all-in-one court map, but the sure thing is that modders will check this stuff after i release the script.

No confirmation if it had been fix or not so I'm just wondering if it is even possible to import to OC folder where Tmac cyberface and much of his files are located. There is also the issue of whether if it worth it to buy Photoshop if OC can be import 100% or not. As far as cyberface, I find MOST, like 90% of cyberface are accurate to real life which 2k did a good job with only a few exceptions are not acceptable cyberface standard. Tmac is one of it. The other is Yao. That's why I care the most about Tmac as he is my favorite player and many Tmac fan would love to see a real Tmac revive in game. His game is the most beautiful to watch! However without a real Tmac cyberface, I probably give up on NBA2k15 and wait for NBA2k16 if they can add more legendary team in the 00s which included '02 Orlando and Raptors and so forth. That's the hope. 2k is not going to do Tmac since he is not a hall of fame.

PS: I have about 2 weeks to play this game nonstop until GTA 5 PC comes out, then I will spend less time playing game on NBA2k15. Also trust me, I have watch a lot of tutorial on making cyberface (based on old NBA2k13 and NBA2k14 tutorial). All tutorial lacks clarity so I'm sure I'm not the only one confusing. If I know how to do cyberface, I would do the much needed cyberface like a Tmac, Yao Ming, Gheorghe Muresan.

Well i did not have time to work on that 0C issue, with all the rest stuff going on, so i can't confirm a fix or anything for now. Its still an issue and i have no fucking idea why this does not work. To be honest i had only made one test ingame, i'll make some more next week and i hope that its not happening anymore, cause i have no idea what else to try :S

Glad to see you back Greg, thanks for everything you're doing. Got a couple of questions:

1. Will you be able to add/remove geometry from 3D models? (Would like to be able to edit the court lines or add new geometry for example).

2. Can you add or remove textures on 3D models + remap them? (Again, mainly interested in court editing i.e. adding new logos to courts).

Thanks again.

Re: 2K15 Explorer [WIP] [v0.27 Released]

Postby gregkwaste on Sat Apr 04, 2015 5:42 am

I got some very sad news (at least for me)

I completed the blender model exporter 3 days ago. I immediately implemented the import functions to the tool, in order to try it ingame, and to my great question, the game crashes.

I've tried a ton of different things, i've reviewed all my exporting code, i've made a lot of comparisons with red mc exported files, but the game keeps crashing.
The only explanation i have concluded to, is that the game checks the integrity of the models using checksums or something like that.

So even if i can fully replicate the raw model files, i can' find a way to bring them back into the game, without the game to crash :(

This means that until this fucking issue is resolved, there will be no 3d model modification, or uv modification. The blender script can be used for creating perfect textures for the models. But nothing more than that. I also don't need to point that the exporter i wrote is pretty much useless for now -.-

I've also implemented raw GZIP/ZIP and OGG import as well. The 3rd one is obvious, but the 2 first ones, are much much helpful to any ambitious hex editors out there

I highly encourage anyone that wants to help in order to find what is wrong with the archives or the compression or the game (i have no idea whose fault this is), to use this methods in the next version of the tool, to replace files in the archives, especially the gzip one.

I've also made a small fix to the blender script and bone weights are imported correctly in blender. Now the bones work much much better. :P
