Re: Random NBA Discussion 2014-15 Season

J.J. Hickson is garbage but he managed to put up empty stats as the Blazers' only viable option at Center a couple of seasons ago and duped the Nuggets into signing him. Robinson is even worse, and due to his height, can only really play PF, where there are no dearth of quality players. Hard to see a player with so many weaknesses get a starting spot - he couldn't even last half a season on a horrible Kings team. I may be wrong, but I'm not too optimistic about Robinson's future.

Didn't get to catch the game against ATL, but that's a tough loss. Losing Joel Freeland sucks - he isn't amazing or anything, but we need Kaman's scoring off the bench. Don't want to see Meyers Leonard or Robinson start in his place though. Team still sitting pretty at 26-8 though - don't see them ceding that nine game division lead.

Very impressed by Atlanta. I've always hated on Joe Johnson, and while he's a decent player who led the Nets to a playoff series win last season, I had a feeling trading him wouldn't hurt them. They should sell the team to a Seattle businessman!

I think LMA will be forced to play Center for now with Dorell Wright as a stretch 4 mixed in with some T-Rob.

And you're right ATL fans don't care for the team. They should head over to Seattle.

Thomas Robinson is a borderline Chinese league player similar to Balkman who punched couple pinoys in PBA. I think Glen Davis would have filled his role better for the Blazers.

They used this lineup in last year's first round matchup with the Rockets, and it was somehow effective.

Well a dearth of shooters + a low post presence = plenty of open shots. It's pick-your-poison; Give up some post-up baskets to Aldridge, or get barraged by Dizzy Wright/Damian Lillard/Wesley Matthews/Nicolas Batum.

Amazing. The Pistons does it again.

Jennings's game winner was stunning, it's worth replaying couple times to see wtf really happened.

Now they're 6-0 since Smith trade. Indiana Pacers have been playing well lately and DET soon might join the discussion for the last couple playoffs spots. In contrast, Heat are struggling and might fall out of playoffs picture if this trend continues.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia no longer has the worst record in the league. That honour goes to the Knicks.

SVG is looking like a genius from a loser suddenly.

Inevitably good part of DET's shortcomings was being blamed on SVG, and that drastic Smith move also was drawing some criticism mostly because Smith was considered capable and not being utilized right. But you can't argue with the result now.

Pistons up 14 on Dallas with four minutes to go lol

Jodie Meeks has helped a lot, he was the extra shooter they needed and Butler was more of a waste of a space on both ends than contributing.

Still waiting for the clock to strike midnight on the Pistons, but here they are, beating quality teams and extending their winning streak to seven.

Nice to see Pau Gasol being his old self again for a decent coach instead of someone that is clueless on how to use post players.

His younger brother is still the better. Pau's a family embarrassment.

Real topic should be Hassan Whiteside. He murdered DeAndre Michael Jordan this afternoon.

What number do you think this is?
Heat 46 Clipper 27
Rebounding.

Lillard has been #2 on my "favorite NBA players" list to Chris Paul since the beginning of last season but damn, he will be #1 very soon. Raped the Lakers in the 4th twice this season, had a vicious and-1 dunk in traffic to seal it tonight.

Woot woot, Lillardtime. Meanwhile, Lin airballed the game winning attempt last week and was 3 of 9 with a grand total of 3 assists.
That's pitiful, lol.

Heat have already found their starting C for the next few months. Liked his energy so far.

Lin is struggling mostly because the Lakers management decided to tank quitely. Fans are just too stupid to realize what really is going on and that it's killing Lin's young career.

It should be a crime to start 31 years old proven trash Ronnie Price over Lin(especially when Kobe rests). But what's worse is Lin getting inconsistent minutes thus inconsistent role. It does NOT matter how well he plays, in next game he's right back in the doghouse. (Note that this is actually happening with a few other Lakers)

In the meantime Byron Scott is busy shielding and licking Kobe's ass, who's now likely to shutdown after ASG.

I love it how teams don't give him a chance, don't give him the ball, then turn him into a sub, then complain about how inconsistent he is or how bad his numbers are when he plays like 20 mins a game as a reserve. Too bad they didn't trade for him last year. He would have torn shit up on the tanking Lakers after reuniting with D'Antoni
