NBA Champion loses kickboxing debut

Sat Dec 20, 2014 9:56 am

That'd be Darko Milicic. But don't worry, he isn't phased.

Former NBA center Darko Milicic, a 7-foot Serb who spent 10 years with various teams after being the second overall pick in the 2003 draft behind LeBron James, has lost his first kickboxing fight.

The 29-year-old Milicic sustained a bloody cut on his left leg in the first round of an exhibition match Thursday night against Serbian fighter Radovan Radojcic. The World Kickboxing Association bout had to be stopped in the second round on doctor's orders.

''The next time, it will be better,'' Milicic said. ''I'm invincible.''

Well, I saw this coming. His strength looked impressive in his training video but it was evidently clear he had zero mobility, techniques, and fighting instinct.

He should just call it quits. Getting exposed by a 3rd tier fighter, Darko just doesn't have it.

(Does he know what invincible means?)

How did he lose? He seemed to be doing decent against the guy just because of his length and then they stopped it after he got that gash. I know nothing about kickboxing rules.

Needs to get into their heads by talking about raping and killing their daughters and mothers. Especially the referee.

He looks like he's having way more fun than he ever did playing basketball.

Who the fuck does he have tattoos of on his belly?

He'll be fine.
Darko was just unlucky that he still doesn't yet have the hardened calloused skin of those who have been practicing kicking for many years that's why his skin broke easily.

He'll probably kick trees when he resumes training but instead of a palm tree like in the movie Darko will kick open an oak or redwood tree.

Sequoia. Or maybe lead pipes.
