Possibly the Lakers aren't as bad as people think, I mean, if they really try. To be fair, the teams that beat the Lakers were playoffs teams.

Still, it's tricky to root for the Lakers even if you were their fan. Doesn't the Lakers lose their First Round Draft Pick if it falls out of top 5. You probably don't want to lose that pick in a lost season. In the meantime jacked up ticket price is secured by Kobe show anyway. There you go, more reasons for Kobe to chuck up shots. Shoot, Kobe Shoot!

So it was Dwight Howard's fault when he was on the Lakers and they couldn't win. Then it was completely acceptable last year without Bryant for most of it that it wasn't Bryant's fault, but now that he is back, they are losing and it's his fault? Any superstar that chose not to sign to the Lakers because they thought they would lose the limelight or get lower numbers or be second fiddle is not worthy because they can't stand up to Kobe.

There still has to be a willingness on Kobe's part, just as there was with Tim Duncan in San Antonio.

I tend to disagree with the general tone of the article citing Kobe's attitude towards teammates as the only reason for the Lakers' woes. I think it should also be pointed out that Kobe's injuries this past two years has also put a big question mark whether Kobe can still be effective in the NBA. Plus the fact Jerry Buss' passing, has also put a question on whether Lakers' management is still the same. The article seems to villainize Kobe, but the truth is the general state of the team does seem to be on a downward trend. I think the main reason why the Lakers aren't attracting big names right now is that the Lakers need to show they can win.

It's unfair to say it's the only reason, but it's fair to say it's a factor.

No it's not, read through it while waiting for lunch to be ready. The useless pics make it appear long because of all that scrolling.

This Ed Davis. He showed pretty good promising signs in Raptors days. How da hell did he end up in LA on a penny contract?

Wasn't this squad supposed to be better than last season's D'Antoni's squad that won 27 games? Heavily blames fell upon Pringles but Scott somehow gets a free pass for having nobody else to play other than Kobe.

I been saying this but Pringles imo was not the major fault but more of a scapegoat. I always thought he was above average coach having his rep killed by Melo in NY then Kobe in LA, and also by Magic Johnson's endless shitty rant.

Last night's match was a game to remember for ages. Both teams refusing to win. Even that last shot was wide open with no defense. And let's take 3 when you need just 1 to tie and 2 to win.

Were both teams following orders to tank? If then impressive job they do.

Lakers need to tank hard to keep their pick.

15 seconds to go, game tied, GOAT Kobe mentoring Jeremy Lin. Xavier Henry agrees.

phpBB [video]

Kobe missed the shot after and the game went to OT. Despite Kobe chucking and missing shots in OT as usual, the Lakers ended up losing. Can you guys believe how little help he gets from from his teammates even though Kobe is all about winning and doing everything he can to win?

I love how all the Kobe haters are coming out now that Kobe is showing his age. I don't think a lot of people have the nerve to step up and take that shot time and time again, whether it's a miss or a make. Would you rather have Swaggy or Lin or Wesley take it if you had the choice who shoots for the win?

I like how some people can't realize other people never liked Kobe, good or bad years.

I don't think a lot of people have the nerve to step up and take that shot time and time again

If it's not helping the team it's not brave and noble like you are trying to make it sound like, it's idiotic. Any idiot can put up a shot, just ask Antoine Walker.

So, the best scorer on the team decides not to take the last shot, and that somehow helps the team? Is that what your saying?

I'm saying that he should look to take the last shot, but it's sometimes smarter to pass when a teammate has a better look
