Crash Reports & Game Freezes

frezzing for like 1 minute and crashing on the Team Logos screen... And sometimes the texts gets messy on the NBA license screen.

Your DxDiag attachment only contains a corrupted image instead of the DxDiag.txt file. Your VideoSettings.cfg tells me you're running a low-end integrated Intel HD graphics chipset. What are your specs?

OH MY GOD!!! GUYS I UPDATED MY INTEL HD GRAPHICS FAMILY DRIVER TO INTEL HD GRAPHICS 300 AND IM PLAYING THE GAME RIGHT NOW NOT WITH NVIDIA BUT WITH INTEGRATED INTEL HD GRAPHICS!!! BUT ON THE LOW SETTINGS SO HERE'S MY NEW DXDIAG

EDIT1: It feels like a PS1 game... it looks impossible to play with integrated graphic drivers...Stuttering like motherfucker... and it looks like my NVIDIA GT540M cant run this game

@ Leftos, any updates on the fix for these crashes and freezes? Do you guys at 2K have some idea what is causing this?

Game fairly consistently closes to desktop when coming out of game - post save / reloading gym/cutscenes

On myplayer after my first playoffs game it closes the game without any error code.

ps
before the playoffs, i noticed the standings has more than 82 games per team.
while playing my first playoff game, GAME 0 was written at the score not GAME 1.

i hope i can fix this because i am not progressing in my player.

Game crashes to desktop 100% when you repeat the following steps:

1. From the first screen hit NBA TODAY;
2. Go into offline Quick Match;
2. Push the button to download latest rosters (Y in case of xbox 360 for pc controller);
3. Download the official rosters;
4. Instead of chosing teams and playing quick match, push the the back button;
5. Go into NBA TODAY where you enter the MAP and see today''s matches;
6. Select any of the matches and the game will instantly crashes to the desktop.

I will post the crash report later on if such is generated.

I have been getting some recent my league game crashes. It will happen in the middle of an actual my league game, stop responding and lock the game. I have yet to crash while being in the menus though.

My game auto closes to desktop after the saving part. I have update drivers, direct x, and vcredist.

If you disable your sound in windows, it should work fine. You won't be able to hear anything but you will be able to at least get past it. Me and Leftos tried about 100 different things to get it working with the sound on to no avail. Hopefully they will have a fix for it on the upcoming patch.

We believe we have, hopefully it fixes all configurations that have this issue. But yeah, disabling your sound adapter for now should work as a temporary workaround.

My NBA 2k15 crashes in MyTeam. Whenever I try to enter the mode, it crashes in the process of loading. All of the offline features seem to be fine, it seems to be the online features that are playing up. All of my drivers are up to date. I have also already tried verifying the game cache on Steam. when will be able to play without all those crash..... ;( i feel like having purchase a alpha release..... freaking... i love this 2k series but really you gotta be kidding me if i worked like that at my job i would be fired !!!!!

Leftos, this is all of the information I have gathered so far on my issue of the game crashing whenever it connects to 2k's servers.

I will be reinstalling Steam tonight onto a different drive and redownloading all of my games to see if that fixes the issue.

UPDATE: After reinstalling the game with no success, I tried completely removing Steam and all of my Steam games and doing a fresh Steam install. This was pretty much my last try before talking myself into reinstalling Windows over this. (This Win7 64 installation is like 3 months fresh so I was not looking forward to that idea.)

I Installed Steam onto my D:\ (programs) hard drive instead of my C:\ (OS SSD) this time and also installed NBA2k15 to D:\ and then went to sleep. I woke up and everything was downloaded and ready so I launched and I'm happy to say FOR NOW AT LEAST the game is working flawlessly on my system.

I hope this information I've gathered helps track down what causes this problem, but for me it seems the problem is fixed and I can finally get down to playing the game online.

Update: I just downloaded and tested the game on a different machine at my house. It has a similar CPU (Phenom X4 945) and a Radeon HD5770 and it is also on an Asus motherboard. I am using the HDMI Audio from the GPU just like on my machine above. The game launches and goes online PERFECTLY on this machine however. The two systems are so similar that it just baffles me how one could work with the game online and one cannot.

This proves the following

1.) The problem isn't location based. I am able to connect and play nba2k15 on the other computer from the same house on the same router.

2.) The problem IS with certain machine configurations having some kind of incompatibility with the game connecting online.




I tried downclocking my CPU to 2.8GhZ and the game still shuts down when connected to the internet.
I tried putting this machine on the 14.4 Catalyst drivers and the game still shuts down when connected to the internet.
I tried putting the latest drivers on the other machine (needed update anyway) 14.11.2 Beta. Game still works. Crashed once in My Team but I think that's because I opened the Steam Overlay during a cutscene.



Old Information

I launch the game in ONLINE mode and it gets to the splash screen or sometimes to the NBA teams screen and it just closes to desktop.

So I did a little bit of troubleshooting. Since the game launches fine in Steam OFFLINE mode I know I'm not having any kind of video/configuration related issues, so I threw that idea right out the window. I then restarted Steam in ONLINE mode and then disabled my network adapter. I launched the game and it made it all the way to the main menu and said it couldn't connect to 2kServers. With the game still running I enabled my network adapter again and hit the connect button, still couldn't connect to anything. I tried a few more times and it eventually closed my game to desktop.

I've been watching some Youtube videos and I found a guy on PS4 who gets to the main menu and cannot connect and then has a friend of his invite him to MyTeam which forces him to connect to the server and then he can back out and do whatever he wants with the game working correctly online.

I am currently waiting for one of my friends on Steam to come online so I can test this last part, since I am now able to successfully get to the main menu with Steam in ONLINE mode by disabling and then re-enabling my network adapter.

I will post the results of the PS4 friend invite trick ASAP.

:UPDATE #1: I disabled my Intel CT PCI-E Network Adapter, and enabled my motherboard's onboard Atheros L1E Ethernet in order to test if it was something with my network adapters configuration that was causing the game to close. The game behaves the same on my onboard as it does with my add-in card. For the hell of it, I installed another PCI-E Network Adapter that I had lying around, a TP-Link one. Same results.

:UPDATE #2: So my friend hasn't come online yet and I'm still waiting on that, but I have found 2K's server IP and found that I do establish a successful connection to their server and then my game crashes. So I am 100% convinced that something is occurring with the handshake process that is causing the game client to just shut down. If the game cannot connect online (network card disabled, ethernet cord unplugged, peerblock blocking the game server) it will fail to connect and the game will remain running. The second you allow it to talk to the 2k servers the game closes.

:UPDATE #3: My friend came online and I had him invite me to a MyTeam game. I unblocked my game client which was sitting at the main menu and took his invite. The first attempt said that a Connection could not be made to the servers. The second attempt was a successful connection and my game client immediately closed.

I am now convinced that the crash is happening when the game connects to 2k servers.

My game is crashing to desktop constantly
The last time it was in MYGM in the middle of the game, (wich is where the files are from)

I still can't get past the 2nd game of the season. I've tried almost everything I could find to solve this, but nothing helps. Offline, online, direct X update, windows update, vcredist, graphic drivers, and nothing

In myplayer I got to play around 20 min. and then it crashed, in MyGM I'm lucky if I get to 5. It just crashes randomly to desktop, EVERYWHERE IN THE GAME! It's driving me insane!

UPDATE: Got it working by changing my graphic driver back from 344.75, to 344.65 and that did the trick

Making a 2007-08 roster, literally added all the created players for every team but two on the wizards, go to assign the other two, game crashes. Tried every other avenue, can't assign another created player to another team either, can't figure out what's going wrong when I've assigned so many other created players to the roster. If you download "2008" on PC by myself (jubba910) try and assign a created player to a team and see if it crashes.

This thread is for troubleshooting crashes with the vanilla game, not errors relating to game mods.

Hi below here is the attachment of my CrashReport.txt,VideoSettings.cfg and also my DxDiag log file.

I've tried the method of
1) setting FAST_TEXTURE_TRANSFER = 0 in my VideoSettings.cfg file.
2) re-install my DirectX ,vcredist and my audio driver

but the game still always randomly crashed to desktop while I was playing in My League mode.
ohh and I am using patch 2 now, haven't try to update it. Any solution for it? Thanks in advance.

My 2k15 starts to crash to desktop after select NBA TODAY, it´s about online features, because, if i disable my network and game stays offline, QUICK GAME works...

Any help? Working good last night.

So recently I finished another my career season and upon simming the offseason it crashed. So now everytime I load my career, it loads the cutscene saying simming career for about a half a second and then freezes and "stops working". I've re-downloaded it on steam twice and updated my game drivers. If anyone knows how to fix this please help! Thanks

NBA 2k15 seems to crash when I try to play a MyCareer game (anywhere from 10-20 minutes after tip off). I've also tried MyGM and during a game it didn't crash but it froze and I had to open task manager to close NBA 2k15. I've tried disabling steam overlay, made sure GPU drivers are up to date, ran dxsetup.exe, vcredist_x64.exe, and verified integrity of game cache.

Hi. My particular problem involves MyGM. Every time I fulfill or fail a task, a screen with the owner pops up and the game crashes. The worst thing that happened is after the regular season the owner screen popped up causing the game to cash. Now everytime I load my game it crashes on the loading screen. I would appreciate any assistance you guys can offer.
