What you guys don't realize is, Kobe wins either way. Think about what the narrative is going to be when its all said and done. Kobe came back from a serious injury and still busted his ass for a team that was doomed from the very beginning. Kobe gets to solidify his image as a strong-willed competitor (heart of a champion etc. etc.) and has the convenient excuse of being an old guy coming back from a serious injury.
He has accomplished enough in his career that this is just the cherry on top of everything. The narrative will be he went down fighting till the very end.

Peopel don't get that the only thign that matters to Kobe right now is surpasing MJ.

Will Hayward make the all star team? West guards already stacked with cp3 Kobe steph and harden. He'll have to get in as a wild card

Kinda hard, look Monta Ellis he used to make 23 + ppg on the Golden State but he never has been called to the All Star team.

So I guess the Timberwolves' 48-point loss isn't going to get anywhere near the coverage that Philly's blowout got. Shitting on Minnesota just isn't as trendy right now.
Sun Nov 16, 2014 9:18 am
People probably prefer to talk about Wiggins's 20 point effort and LaVine's solid outing.
Hayward deserves to make the All Star if he can keep this up. I'm surprised he's actually playing worthy to his contract.

Kings beating the Spurs.

Lillard, wasn't he the best clutch player statistically last year? Lillard all the way.
Horrendous. The Rockets are about to win a game after shooting 28.7% from field, 20% from 3pt, 51.7% from freethrow line.
As for Nuggets, they just can't seem to get their shit together. So much talent on that team but Melo pwned them. Eventual winner in Melo trade is the Knicks?
Mon Nov 17, 2014 1:20 pm
Reggie Jackson acting like he's a star.
AND BROOKS IS BENCHING AIR PERK!!!!! That's not the way to treat your MVP!!!!!

Yes but that don't hurry me too much, spurs only play 100% on the playoffs.
And that Thunder-Rockets game damn bricks everywhere
Mon Nov 17, 2014 1:50 pm
And Kobe is acting like he is playing MyCareer lol.
Mon Nov 17, 2014 2:29 pm
It's way too apparent Lakers are tanking. Defense is easily the worst in league and there is only Kobe on offense which the opponent is fine with. Let Kobe take shots and crash the boards because they know every other Lakers are standing and watching. This dummy coach... *sigh
This is horrendous. If the Warriors play serious, they could break 150 points in regulation in this game.

No matter what, Kobe will go down in history as an all-time great, and rightfully so. His great career speaks for itself, and these footnote seasons may indeed be remembered kindly as a courageous comeback. However, there's the counterpoint that he's frantically gunning away, basically just going out there and scoring as many points as he can, while he still can. His unwillingness to gracefully yield the reigns of the team to anyone else and his general abrasiveness has made one of the league's most storied and successful franchises an unappealing destination for free agents. He's inefficiently shooting his way to personal milestones, while the Lakers bottom out and enter a period of struggle and irrelevance that is unprecedented in club history.
Sure, the narrative may go that he went down fighting. Or, the story might be that his stubbornness and selfishness took them down and set back the rebuilding/re-tooling phase significantly. On top of that, there'll always be the contrast with Tim Duncan, a contemporary who won just as many titles, has one more Finals MVP, has likewise established himself as one of the all-time greats, but was able to transition and pass the torch, allowing his team to win a lot of games and remain relevant throughout his lengthy career.

Also no plays lol , all they do is ISO kobe or ISO Boozer, if that keep up they will do 10-72 or even worse.

At this pace, Kobe also could go down as the worst chucker in league history by far, possibly as one and only ugliest performer in his own league.
His usage rate is 39%, wow! Yet his PER is 20, his ORtg is 99. I honestly wouldn't blame teammates but such isn't the case in Lakers lala land. It's all about Kobe and his great wills to carry bunch of dead bodies in the storybook.
Put this into perspective.
Field Goal Attempts
1. Kobe Bryant-LAL 244
2. Carmelo Anthony-NYK 218
3. Al Jefferson-CHO 188
4. James Harden-HOU 183
5. Stephen Curry-GSW 175
6. LaMarcus Aldridge-POR 168
7. DeMar DeRozan-TOR 167
Nikola Vucevic-ORL 167
9. Rudy Gay-SAC 165
10. Tobias Harris-ORL 162
11. Chris Bosh-MIA 160
12. DeMarcus Cousins-SAC 158
13. LeBron James-CLE 157
14. Josh Smith-DET 156
15. Serge Ibaka-OKC 153
Chris Copeland-IND 153
17. Monta Ellis-DAL 151
18. Blake Griffin-LAC 150
Pau Gasol-CHI 150
20. Gordon Hayward-UTA 147
Kobe has more than 2x fga than Melo yet Kobe's 3rd in made field goals behind Melo and Al Jeff.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 7:21 am
Melo and Al Jefferson's preferred shooting areas are closer to the basket than Kobe, of course they are going to make more field goals.
Put that in perspective.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 7:29 am
Even if anyone did, not sure what it changes.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 7:44 am
For Kobe, none.
For skewing a particular stat, hopefully something.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 8:05 am
It probably isn't fair to Kobe because Curry is a stud while Kobe's not, but Curry has only 6 less shots made while taking 69 fewer shots. But that's aside the point.
Maybe he shouldn't be taking so many shots at this stage in his career? It's ridiculous he's leading Field Goal Attempts category by large margin from greatly known chucker Melo. I wouldn't be complaining if he was hitting shots anywhere near at league average but it's painfully clear he's the biggest cause for the Lakers' shitty season. That's a fact that nearly everyone's afraid to point out these days. But it's always Boozer and some other little shit parts playing sucky. This is ridiculous how fans and media suck his cock that Kobe's heroism must not be challenged.

Mavs winning 4 straight games in blowouts. I can't tell if their defense is good or it's the offense.
The teams the Mavs has beaten are mostly in the bottom though.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 12:52 pm
Brandon Jennings been surprisingly good last several games.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:09 pm
Yeah. He's been pretty surprisingly good lately. He was benched often in the beginning of the season as SVG punished him whenever he took bad shots but it seems he came around. But sadly you can't say same about Andre and Josh Smith. Josh Smith is same ole Josh Smith. Andre Drummond despite benji's support hasn't thrived much under SVG. Part of the reason is said to be, it's because SVG is running plays out of his comfort zone. Like, Andre Drummond now is playing post up/ISO. This is for the long term project so he can become more than a dunk guy.
As for the Cavs, LOL. Cavalolers. Chemistry gotta be non existent. How do you lose to the lowly Nuggets? Actually they should have lost the previous game against Celtics as well if it wasn't for a miraculous comeback from HUGE deficit.
Tonight's game to watch was the HOU vs MEM both with 9-1 record. Looks like Grizzlies grizzed the Rockets pretty good. Crazy.
Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:37 pm
People like to hate on Brandon Jennings but he is as good as say, Jrue Holiday. However, Jrue getting the all star nod over him in 2013's weak field of Eastern guards skewed public perception. Both are average starters at best, albeit at the deepest position, and this isn't Jennings' first red hot November. Pistons are a mess though. Not worried about Drummond yet but they gotta break up that forward tandem.
In other news, Portland is really good this year. Offense is still awesome and my god, now we have a bench and play defense?!
