sweetfx for win 10, 8.1 & 7 (4 versions)

Wanted to report back to tell you v3 with the added fog has been great. I typed up a long report on my thoughts and compliments only to have the page expire and lose the post lol. That is what i get for taking my sweet time. In summary it does everything it should. It brightens the game like the file name implies and adds some much needed clarity. All that I could offer you for feedback is to try and rid the game more so of the heavily favored yellow skin tone. In my eyes 2k just went overboard with it and that is one of the reasons I fought so hard to get your sweetFX working haha. Anyways that is more of a suggestion for the photo realistic set you said you may try your hand at. If I knew more about what sweetFX could do I may have other ideas. Unfortunately that isn't the case which means that is all I have for input at this time. Keep us posted on any updates or plans for releases. I must finish by saying this mod has made the game much more enjoyable for me so thank you.

I have not tried goldenstate77 v3 yet, but KevinParker has managed to get rid of that yellow overlay quite successfully in his blue sweetFX

Thanks for the compliment and feedback, I'm working to perfect skin tone in my photorealistic project and if folks like it can work it into the earlier version. I think v2 had a good skin tone, at least with my monitor (see screenshots). Will look a bit different for everyone though, due to several factors.

Yes calibration it extremely important yet so little people are interested in it. I wouldn't even bother to comment on the accuracy of colors if I didn't already have a calibrated TV I game on. Most of the newer Panasonic Plasma's come with a THX Certified setting preset along with a long list of options for calibration if you chose to go with a custom calibration like I opted for. It would be nice to see more monitors go that route.

With sweetFX ON hit print screen for screenshots and you will find the screenshots in game folder. Fraps does not recognize sweetFX.

there should be two sets of screenshots saved in the game directory. This is because both efx and sweetfx are programed to take screenshots with the printscreen key. you can change the key bindings, but I kept as is because the sweetfx shots reflect the sweetfx shaders while the efx shots do not, and sometimes it's nice to have the comparison.

as jayr said, fraps and most other screenshot tools don't show the sweetfx shaders.

well im back from work related travel but have been a bit busier than expected. nevertheless, i hope to release "photorealistic" soon. i'm thinking about renaming it though, as there are certain elements of nba 2k15 that cannot be changed with sweetfx alone, and they are not photorealistic. for one thing, the crowd is simply too dark. i can lighten it a bit, but only so far. i wish enb could work for this game, because a combo of sweetfx and enb would look amazing. what's the deal, can enb not work on directx 11 or because it's 64 bit, does anyone know the issue? anyway, stay tuned for my next release tonight or tomorrow, whatever I end up calling it! thanks for patience. please send me your comments and suggestions, as I can still work some tweaks into this release.

the issue is as you already wrote that the ENBseries is only working for 32bit clients/games...directX 11 isn't the issue, but the game is a 64bit game so you won't be able to use any ENB at all...however the guy how developed the ENBserien announced that he is going to make ENB patches for GTA V and as far as I know it is also a 64bit game so it is going to be compatible with NBA 2K15...until then we just have the sweetfx patching.

If u want to try to emulate some enb-effects try to work with the gaussianblur-toogle, there is a blurring and a unsharpmasking part...I like to use to blur option because it is smoothing jagged lines. Also try bloom out...

thanks man, that explains it. hopefully the patch for gta v will work for nba 2k15. i was thinking specifically of enb's ability to adjust color palette and reflections.

hey guys, thanks for bearing with me. i haven't been able to put the finishing touches on the next version this week, and probably won't until the weekend. things got a little hectic at work, as tends to happen. but as soon as i can, i'll finish it up and put it out. (mostly testing on all the courts and making minor final adjustments)

Heads up guys I released v4, which I was going to name photorealistic, but changed to "lighting overhaul". Photorealistic is hard to achieve with sweetfx alone (i.e. no enb) because there are some parts of nba 2k15 are pretty far from photorealistic. I wish I could get it to look like the screenie above but haven't been able to achieve that look. Anyway, not everyone will like this one--it's a pretty major lighting overhaul and it took a lot of sweetfx features to achieve. I'm typically a minimalist with sweetfx, and only typically use 3-4 sweetfx shaders at a time, but this one I used many more in order to achieve the look i was going for. The goal was to reduce fog, introduce a more realistic lighting effect (more halogen looking), and brighten the crowd as much as possible. Check out the screenshots in the OP and download from the download section if you want to give it a try.
