for you it can be smooth around 30fps, for you there can be no stuttering, so please check your fps first, if no it make no sense.

Guys, try playing this game on PS4 if you can afford it. It would cost you cheaper than purchasing hardware for your computer.

You would also issue NO bugs

wait what? no fps drop? really?
well the answer is no, there are also huge drops in cutscenes for ps4 so....

What are you talking about, skoadam? I also have a 7770 and the game runs fine on medium settings. I'm at 60fps constantly and just got rid of my stutter.

medium all + shaders(low/high?)+special effects(on/off?)+ what resolution?

i actually have the game for PS4 and the fps does acutally drop  ,especially when calling a timeout or pregame, but thats not it i also have the game for the ps3 and ingame the fps actually do drop especially when your bringing the ball up court. This is a problem that 2k has and they really need to fix it.

Re: ADVISE: DONT BUY 2K15

Manni, another example of lazy devs  2k14 on ps4 also got drops, this is poor optimalization....on consoles, where one of the biggest advantages is...no problem with fps, all must run smooth as hell. And what?

skoadam, i would'nt doubt 2k just yet hopefully they can release some patches/fixers or something before the year is done

I'm trying to find out how to download the roster update. I can't launch the game with Steam in online mode. But when I launch the game from Steam in offline mode, I can't connect to download the roster update.

Med textures, high models, shaders on, special effects off, 1080p. With some saacrifices, this game is very much playable on a 7770.

shaders on? low or high?
Still no matter, this whole thing is a matter of view. U like what u see right? So u are happy about smooth 60fps and u like this game. Ok i understand this, no problem.
From my point of view it looks like this. Game on high sets(im not talking about AA and quality of AA, i can leave with 2-2) looks like next gen. Looks great. From my point of view, when i switch to medium(look at those FLAT to the full pants, cmon is it mobile version?), special effects off this game looks like current gen(sry it looks even worst) and no reflections make me wonder what the fuck year we have right now. This is my point of view, u dont have to agree with it.

edit: i start wondering which studio take care about conversion from consoles to pc's. Is it States or China.

Wait, what? Consoles don't have infinite processing power. You can keep optimizing every year, but at some point either you're going to have to dumb down the graphics to maintain 60FPS at all times, or lock the framerate lower in specific instances (like cutscenes) to make sure you maintain smooth framerate.

I don't get what this "console advantage" you're speaking of is.

Boy, all the developers of games out there that have been locking their games to 30FPS in these new consoles must be really lazy and don't know how to optimize anything, clearly.

did u notice smilies?
on the other hand, do you know release date of nba 2k14 on ps4? Now, do you know the release date of ps4? no more question.

Re: ADVISE: DONT BUY 2K15

The point is those dates are very similar. 2k14 fps drops on ps4 and it was one of the first game on this console.

Re: ADVISE: DONT BUY 2K15

Yes. The level of detail is higher in close-ups, and framerate locks to 30 to maintain smooth framerate throughout the cutscene/after basket cut, instead of having it jump up and down depending on the elements rendered throughout the cutscene.

You expect the game to run a steady 60 FPS at all times. Great. We couldn't do that so far in the time we've had with those consoles and with the level of detail we've decided to go with. We've chosen the better graphics over having 60 FPS in non-gameplay-critical situations such as cuts and cutscenes.

Skoadam, just give up the butthurt crying all over the damn forum like a baby about "optimization" just because your laptop can't run the game the same way it did 2K14....

and how did this thread not get locked after the original post

now notice my smiley --- > :turrible:

Leftos, Yes it make sense when 30fps looks really smooth, i dont remember right now but cutscenes in 2k14 sometimes looks really laggy, maybe, i said maaaaybe its because of comparing 60vs30 but it looks more like 2k15 right now on pc, where eyes burning on cutscenes, sometimes its slides show.

ChrisCP3Paul, dude stop it, because you already tried one time, third one will be reported. Look around? read comments, ignore me on NLSC and read other posts, go outside NLSC, steam, 2k forum, its not only me, im just tryin to be heard.

That I can understand. When playing Forza Horizon 2, for example, which is permanently locked to 30 FPS, I don't really notice it that much. Changing from 60 to 30 makes the difference more apparent, unfortunately, but we're not about to lock the whole game to 30 FPS. We've made the conscious choice to make the game look as pretty as possible in close-ups and drop the framerate since it doesn't affect gameplay, but the difference is there. Oh well!

The problem is not only for skoadam and person with low config. but also for perso with high end pc , the producer of games reduce volontary the pc optimisation ( just like for watch dogs) to not make a better game on pc than ps4 and xbox one (Y)

Big claims right there, and completely false. Don't know what Ubisoft did, we certainly did not de-prioritize PC, or stopped caring about it, otherwise I wouldn't have a core engineer in my office asking me to extend a question to the community to help track down and fix micro-stuttering.

I'm not trying to blow smoke up everyone's ass, we have engineers here that really care to make the PC version work smoothly.

Leftos, Yes it make sense and i understand sometimes u must find compromise between details and performance, are you sure its locked 30fps? but no worry i already make my own patch and just turn them off, cutscenes+replays

Thanks Leftos. I hope some of us don't sound like we are crying. I'm just at a loss as to how my Titan Black is having such a struggle with this title. I try not to come off as an us vs. them, the lazy developers type. And mad props for not leaving the PC version hanging. It's just nice to see that the effort is there. If you need more info, like drivers and chipsets, etc., please do ask. I know I'll do whatever I can on my end to help you help me! LOL!
