Hard to not believe it, since almost everything written there has been revealed.

So.. there is no chance to get drafted?
Fri Sep 12, 2014 11:19 pm
I just hope that it depends rather than it's going to happen to everyone who plays the mode.

i could imagine that this is the new storyline
being undrafted and then setting out on a journey to prove everyone how wrong they where not to draft you

I really hope players will be able to choose his start and this is just some placeholder text.
Actually I hope Leftos heard us (once again) and we'll get the Draft Combine back!

I am loving how the new MyCareer mode might be turning out. Not being drafted sounds like a cool thing for making a crazy story for your player. I also wonder how the CAP system changed for 2K15.
@chaim - No chance of being drafted? No I think it means there are chances you go undrafted in 2K15 which is probably the first time this has been allowed. It's a good thing, in my opinion.

i heard there is big news coming out for my career mode?

I think an undrafted storyline will appease gamers who feel that you have too much success too quickly, but I have a feeling that the mode is still going to be too linear, too story-driven for my liking; that is, there are going to be scripted events and while there'll be some variation in game-to-game performance and how quickly you can improve your player, everyone is kind of going to play through the same story. I'd prefer it if there were multiple possibilities, and scenarios were a little more random.
It's not a terrible approach by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm not sure it's the right one. If nothing else, it doesn't appeal to me personally, so while I'll look into it when the game comes out, I'll probably gravitate back towards the MyGM and MyLEAGUE type of experience.

undrafted, eh?
Willing to bet this means you get to choose which team you play for now.

I would definitely prefer to go through the draft combine/interview process and be drafted, personally.

It'd be awesome if there were a few different career paths that you could choose, either manually or as the result of your performance at the combine. It'd cater to everyone if we could be a star right away, or a player that needs to build their way up from the bottom, or a competent role player.
As far as the scripted stuff goes, I'm actually changing my mind about it...a little. I'm still not sure it's the best approach, and I think it needs to be done in a way that allows users to have a more varied experience, but I've been playing a bit more of MyCAREER in NBA 2K14 on PS4 and it's not as much of an issue game-to-game as it is early on. So yeah, I think there needs to be better balance in pre-determined moments and scenarios, but having given it another chance, it's not as bad as I previously thought.

If they do have different career paths, it would be nice for PC users if they kept the one from last year. That way we could catch up on what we missed out on last year. Probably won't happen, but you never know.
I'm also thinking that if it is just one big new career story, it's going to cost a lot of time and money for them to do that every year. You gotta think that it would be more work in the short term, but less work in the long term for them to make branching career tracks based on decisions that you make throughout your career. Then every year they could add on more decisions, outcomes, events, characters and overall flavor to the mode to keep it fresh and entertaining. That way players can play through more than one career and have a different experience than the last.
But who knows, maybe they are way ahead of me and have already done all that. We shall see.
I don't think I have ever been more hyped about a game in my life. That means a lot coming from a guy who would have slit some throats to get an early copy of Super Mario RPG back in the 90's.
Cheers.

It should have an option in the beggining, Choose between
Undrafted or
