Is REDitor a Virus?

Tried to download the REDitor software and it comes up as a Sever Virus threat on my AVG Anti Virus software.

I can't seem to find the info I need, so please explain. Is it just an incorrect warning from my Anti Virus software or has it been found out to be Malicious?

It's a false positive, yes.

Can't seem to download my anti-virus program deletes it before I can use it.

Any advice?

AVG is my anti-virus program

I'm using AVG as well. I just temporarily disable it when I'm using RED MC, or downloading a new version.

Still having trouble...

I've disabled AVG and turned off Malware.

What am I doing wrong?

Okay I got it to download now here is the next problem I am having....

failed to set data for 'x16'

this keeps coming up then about 5 folder windows pop up on my screen.

I am running as administrator BTW

If I ignore the message for too long the program shuts down....
