Kaitoukid wrote:Hi Sir TGsoGood. I really like your mod from V1 to v2. And V2 was great but i found some problems. Look at the picture. it's like lebron arms has a balloon on his arms both sides. Can you make the jersey more attach to the body like in V1. Can you fix it? And I hope in next version you can make the edge of the jersey more tack-in like in the picture. Thank you

He already addressed this with me earlier. Lol.

Thanks for the appreciation guys. Unfortunately there is no way to get the jerseys molded perfectly without spending a few hours sculpting the jersey, importing back into 2k12 mod tool, extracting in red mc, importing to different file in red mc, saving the file, loading up a player in game, running a test in practice mode to check for jersey tearing and then starting the whole process again if you did not get it correct.

If RED MC gets 3d modeling integrated into a future version this will be so much easier than having all these extra steps. Since saving files in RED MC locks up the files and you can't go back and remodel 3d models after saving in RED MC this stuff takes too long. I'm not sure I will release any other versions of these jerseys for a while. I am currently trying to figure out how to make MYPlayer have shorter seasons because I have figured out a great way to use RED MC's iff editor to make aging MYPlayers or even MyPlayers that have have beards or hair that grows as the season progresses. We will see.

Sure. Do whatever you want. I'm pretty sure there will be many using this all over the web and releasing as I have already seen but at least you asked. Thanks for appreciating the work. Seriously though you guys can post this wherever you want, Please give credit, if not oh well. I don't really get upset about it. I've been too lazy to make a tutorial because honestly the process is annoying to me now because you always have to start from the beginning if you need to edit the 3d model.

I hope you can perfect it in the next version and if you can make the body more attach to the jersey that will be perfect! :)

use 2 files, 1 for RED MC and testing in-game, 1 for 2kx and 3d editing

basically, use the classic teams to test it in-game and do normal 3D editing, and when you're happy with the 3D edits, transfer it over to the "real" cloth files.

for the last edits with the wishbone collars I did something like this and the edits do go a lot quicker but its more the fact that you with tighter jerseys you have to sculpt the model and you wont know about jersey ripping and tearing until you load up the game. You could easily spend 30 minutes just trying to get the shoulder strap to curve instead of looking all straight but when you load it in game the Jersey strap could be floating over the shoulder or the chest could start sticking out of the jersey during certain animation. There's no way to get it just perfect. It also sucks since I'm doing this on a laptop. Man do I wish I still had my desktop.

For those of you who want to try to make your own stiff jerseys:

Quick written Tutorial (I'm on the way to work so I may answer questions later)

load up one of the jersey iff files that appear to not move in game while player settings are on high ( classic_u.iff, Classic_v.iff, sleeved_v.iff, and sleeved_wishbone.iff are the only ones).

Save the non-static model. (This will be the 1st , 3rd, and possibly 5th models). In the 2k12 mod tool the models always appear in this order:

non-static model (players on high settings)
static model (for players on low settings)
non-static model
static model
.......... I think you get the point

I know the stiff jerseys I made look static but they are not, the game is coded for non-static jerseys to move differently than the static jerseys.

So... after you save the non-static model. Shape it in blender. Then import the newly shaped model back into the jersey iff file.
Save this file.

Open RED MC. Open the file you just saved. OK now all you have to do is rename the "FileIDs".
If you want to your model to be used for Cloth_U.iff use the following IDs:

Name FileID
jersey_u_thin 1D6F16CF
jersey_u_fat 7A0A7BD6
jersey_u_reg 81F7F4A0

for use as Cloth_V.iff :

Name FileID
jersey_v_fat 3DAA0106
jersey_v_thin 9BFB6461
jersey_v_reg C6578E70

for use as cloth_wishbone.iff:

Name File ID
jersey_wishbone_fat 6BD47A7F
jersey_wishbone_reg 9029F509
jersey_wishbone_thin B274D382

After renaming the file ID save the file as cloth_u, or cloth_v, or Cloth_wishbone. Now try to use the file in game and you should have stiff jerseys.
