I don't like this new trade picks for coaches thing. It lets bad management off the hook by getting something in return for coaches they don't want. and in this case, the Bucks give up something (albeit something not of much value) for a coach that probably should be fired and then rehired, but again it lets the team off the hook by not having to pay out their salary.

It isn't that new, though it isn't all that common. The Heat gave up some first round picks to the Knicks in the 1996 Draft, when Pat Riley jumped ship in 1995.

It goes back to the 1970s. It's the same as the old bound "free" agency, teams are entitled to compensation.

This feels like the "migrane" game part 2 when he was still a player w/ the NJNets. From what I've read, this all started december last year, where he questioned BK's vision for the team(Kidd wanted "somebody" as a team advisor, asked the Russians), team was in turmoil 10-21, LFranks demotion etc. Then this off-season, he asked/wanted BK to trade Brook+Mirza to the Bucks for Sanders+Ilyasova, then it was rumored that he doesn't want to coach DWill. When BK said no to those trades, he went again at him and ask the Russians he wanted more power(like what Coach Doc, and he was maybe jealous on how much DFish got paid). So the Bucks offered him that, fired their Coach Drew(w/c is illegal under coaches rules), then there he goes..

JKidd is a great player, heck I would still defend him as the greatest pg(ikr, maybe that's just me yeah). But his off court issues are all well documented. Tho he might be right that BK's not doing his job well(trades!), he's still a rookie coach, can't rush things just like that. After all the team has done for him, again he failed us.
