RC Buford earns NBA Executive of the Year
Thu May 08, 2014 2:01 am
Buford winning Exec of the Year has got to be a lifetime achievement award... unless Belinelli, Damion James and Austin Daye were more important than we thought...
Thu May 08, 2014 7:29 am
Belinelli was a solid pickup for them and as noted
here, he managed to retain Splitter and keeping the core together despite their age has paid off so far. It does feel a bit like a lifetime achievement award, but fair enough I guess.

An emotional Durant thanked everyone from his teammates to his mother, Wanda Pratt, at a ceremony in Edmond, Okla., on Tuesday.
"You made us believe, you kept us off the streets, put clothes on our backs, put food on the table," a teary-eyed Durant said to his mother, who was in attendance. "You the real MVP."
Put an asterisk on it, guy is such a loser and non leader he's giving away his awards.
Durant also thanked veteran forward Caron Butler, who shortly after signing with the Thunder on March 1 placed a note in Durant's locker that read, "KD MVP."
"I don't really say much in those moments, but I remember that," Durant said. "I go home and I think about that stuff, man. When you got people behind you, you can do whatever."
LeBron wouldn't have needed any help to win.

Awww... KD, so sweet and lovely.
This makes me like KD more since he seems like a real decent person that knows how to appreciate little things and be grateful unlike so many douches in the league.
Excuse me now I need to go punch the tree to bring back my manliness.

lolz why is everybody going off at KD?

I am genuinely surprised. After he's played in this league for a decade, people have finally realized Andre Iguodala is an elite defender. I'm also surprised that Kobe isn't on 1st Team All-Defense this time.
Overall, the All-D teams are actually not that bad, for the first time in forever. Only two of ten players don't belong - it could be an all-time low, who knows.

Joakim got on the All NBA First Team? Surprising even if he really was the best C in the league this season. (BTW do they do this by position still?)
And its cool that two Blazers got on there too.

Awesome to see Noah get two first team selections. Figured All-Defensive was a given, but nice to see him get the All-NBA nod as well.
