Holding L1 and R1 will hide the indicator icon. There is a workaround to remove the Director's Cut overlay, you might want to run a search for that in the NBA 2K14 section.

You can just save your replay then play it again in the features tab. But if you want to record immediately after you made the basket, foul the offensive player (i.e. intentional foul). Thats what I do.

Let's go with it, if you have bloopers recorded you can submit them too. Just mark them as bloopers, separate from any 'normal' submission you have.
