WICHITA STATE UPSETS #10 TENNESSEE 78-77 IN OVERTIME!

It''s madness here in Wichita guys, where Wichita State just upset #10 Tennessee. The Shockers were down five with 40 seconds to go in the second half. Cleanthony Early stole the ball from a Tennessee player and dunked on the other end. Wichita State then played good defense and forced the Volunteers into a contested long two that missed badly. Tekele Cotton grabbed the rebound and made a quarterback pass to Ron Baker for a game tying three, which fell. The Volunteers were out of timeouts with only 3 seconds to go. They made a long pass to Jarnell Stokes which was deflected and the buzzer sounder. Charles Koch Arena was electric.

Shocker Fans celebrate

Overtime was neck and neck, but it ended up being Wichita State ball with 5 seconds to go, down one, inbounding under their own basket. They got the ball into Cleanthony Early, made the shot at the buzzer to give the Shockers a 78-77 win over the Volunteers.

Not much for this poll watch. Kansas remains on top in the polls, with Tennessee dropping to 15th. Wichita State, who beat Tennessee, has entered the polls at #24. Kentucky has also entered the polls @ #25

San Diego State is 5-0 right now, but they haven't played any real big names. Watch out for them come tournament time. Sienna is also 5-0, with the same case as San Diego State. Southern Illinois has beaten #8 Duke, and are 4-1 so watch out for them entering the polls soon!

#24 Wichita State beats #20 Michigan in front of empty Crisler Center

The Crisler Center just minutes before tipoff.

Due to a error from the Michigan ticket office, nobody showed up to the Crisler Center today. Michigan university is investigating the incident.
The game wasn't a very exciting one to watch either way, as Wichita State took the win by 16 points. Van Vleet finished with a career-high 37 points and 11 assists.

Well guys, the Kansas Jayhawks took a surprising loss to San Diego State yesterday, and they'll drop down to #5. The Duke Bluedevils are 5-1 and will take the top spot. The Shockers move up again to #19, having beat Michigan yesterday. San Diego State enters the polls at #25, and Gonzaga moves into the top 10 at #8.

Southern Illinois is still a team to watch, they're 5-2 right now. No more teams to watch, really.

Wichita State beats Auburn in Alabama, off to 3-0 start

Wichita State has beaten Auburn 63-51 to get off to a 3-0 start on the season. Auburn guard K.C. Johnson had a career high 21 points in the losing effort against the Shockers. Cleanthony Early scored a game high 25 in the Shocker victory. Auburn was looking for the upset bid but could not find one. Wichita State is looking to be a very successful team this year, and right now it looks like they will be.
