Just gotta sustain the energy. Batum has been fun to watch taking charge of things past couple games.
Tue May 13, 2014 1:05 pm
The Spurs going to Manu now because Lillard is guarding him.
EDIT: Darn... Parker such a monster.
EDIT: I don't get why Robin Lopez gets so much blames in this series. I thought he's done his job decently to his ability.
EDIT: Matthews makes such a boneheaded play time to time.

EDIT: The Spurs make it look so easy and the Blazers not so much.

Parker is damn good shooting the ball this series
Tue May 13, 2014 1:46 pm
Just when you think the Blazers can go on a run, the Spurs answers right back. No lead seems safe against the Spurs. They're so consistent.
EDIT: Solid first half by both teams. This is kinda what I expected from first 3 games though.
Tue May 13, 2014 2:32 pm
Ofcourse Portland puts on their biggest lead of the series when I'm not watching.
Edit: Barton has been skinny Lebron this game.
Tue May 13, 2014 3:16 pm
Glad it wasn't a sweep!!! Successful season overall.

Took Will Barton to save the Blazers ass, they really need a 6th man so bad.

EDIT: Batum doing solid on both ends. Neat.
EDIT: Damn... with Batum on Tony, Manu and Kawhi are troublesome.
Nice adjustment, but it's to little, to late.

Well, at least it's not a sweep

Wow. Lamrock's so depressing. How can you give up on your team so easily? And you call yourself a fan? SMH
One game at a time, the Blazers still have a shot in this series. Mark my word.

Another rout for the Spurs, and that's the series. Parker's health is a concern moving forward, though.
On the bright side, a Playoff career high 18 points by Patty Mills, giving the NBA Australia Twitter account another excuse to break out the #TowelWave hashtag.

Go Spurs!

It was a successful season for the Blazers. They need to really strengthen their bench next season. Pretty important offseason coming up because now their expectations are even higher.

instead of wasting a lottery pick on a PG which isn't an area of need?
imagine if they had Steven Adams or

Olynyk
Thu May 15, 2014 4:21 pm
Well, nobody thought Adams or Olynyk were going to be effective right away. CJ was a 4 year player and Portland thought he would be their primary bench scorer in the coming years which they desperately needed.
So far he has looked pretty limited but his role has been very limited too.

But then they signed Mo and so they had 3 pgs
Thu May 15, 2014 6:12 pm
CJ is more of a score-first SG since college. I think the Blazers wanted 6th man scoring punch out of him which didn't really work out. His lack of athleticism always has been the biggest question despite excellent feel for the game. But he deserves another look next season. This season, he was coming off a major injury anyway.

And Mo is 31 about to opt out this offseason. None of the bigs were an obvious choice prior to actually playing in the NBA.

I'm not too high on McCollum. I feel like Olshey only picked him because the last scoring combo guard from a small school he drafted panned out okay. In hindsight, Adams or even Dieng would should have been the pick. However, I do hope they let Mo go so that McCollum could get a chance to crack the rotation.
If they can get a second rounder for Meyers Leonard (doubtful) and sign a bench scorer with the mle, they'll be in good shape. Sadly, trading Batum may be the only way for this team to have a shot at contending.

Trade Aldridge/Batum to the Wolves for Love/Brewer. This gotta go down.

Aldridge for Love? noooooo
