After you edit PNG with Adobe Fireworks:
- open newly saved PNG with GIMP
- Export to DDS (DXT5 compression with Mipmaps enabled)
- Import DDS to *** logoxxx.iff file with NBA2KX Mod Tool

*** logo000.iff means 76ers
logo001.iff mean Bobcats
etc.
Rename to logoxxx number you need

You have to find out by yourself which logoxxx number is for your custom team.

I am baseball fan for many years, not basketball.
As MLB season just started, I satisfy myself watching, reading Major League stuff.
NBA2K14 is the best sport game ever imo, but it is 6 month since it has been released and it is not first priority for me anymore.
So I do not plan any new scoreboards (at least in the nearest future)

There are no any templates for MLB2K12. It has different structure and there are no any iogo files in MLB2K12 (tean logos are controlled by Uniform_xxx files, but they let you modify only the logo, not scoreboard parts)

Are there any scoreboard modders here at NLSC besides exrxixxx? I remember in 2K12 & 2K13 when there were more scoreboard modders.

I tried to put the file in NBA2K14 folder, but during free throw there is a bug and during the changes the board of the players on the bench isn't good!

NBA TV scoreboard works fine, but with 2 white lines under score (see screens) and hide after 1st quarter.
