The MVP race seems to be pretty dull now. Durant beasts everyday while LeBron takes a break, plays good and then takes a break again.
LeBron scores 37 with 9 boards & 3 assists. Against Suns who don't have anything except Dragic.
Durant scores 36 with 10 boards & 2 assists. Against Traiblazers who have everything.

Durant is just a damn scoring machine. Portland have pretty good wing defenders in Matthews and Batum but only if they had a combination of each others' strengths they would be able to actually bother him considerably. Lebron is that guy. Strong, lengthy, agile defender and highly competitive.

I still give the nod to Durant right now and figure he'll probably win if he keeps up this level of play, but at the same time I expect it won't be a landslide.

pffft. Look what MVP LBJ did tonight. Durant is still a choker, no ring, no nothing.
Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:00 am
Still needs to work on that celebration.
Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:13 am
Does he push it down and step over it or stomp on it or something? What is it supposed to mean?
Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:34 am
Its all about swag. It doesn't have to mean anything.
Fri Feb 14, 2014 12:36 pm
Whatever lbj's doing in that celebration, it looks fugly fo sho. Iono y but it kinda reminds me of jao's avatar & sig.
Fri Feb 14, 2014 2:50 pm
I thought he was just gonna slap someone when he was walking like that before that celebration

It's basically him stopping all the noise and being the last man standing at the victory point or something like that.

It's bullshit... plain and simple... it's bullshit...
Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:48 pm
Kevin Durant answers right back with 43 point game. He did have 41 point just a couple games ago too. But... you don't get to play against the Lakers and Knicks every night.
Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:48 pm
lol that's harsh Steve. It's just a celebration. No need to go deeper than the swag as bowdown said.
Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:18 pm
Miami full of swag dawgz & some in Bangladesh too!

Leftos must be in frenzy after that performance by Drummond in the Rising Stars challenge.
And a pretty awesome shootout by Waiters and Hardaway Jr.

All-Star Weekend 2014 is off to a fun start in my book. The Rising Stars game was a good exhibition, quite competitive even without a whole lot of defense. Drummond was obviously a beast but the back and forth between Tim Bug Jr and Waiters was great too, with some ridiculous threes answering one another. Even this year's Celebrity Game was surprisingly decent in its own right. Frankly, Arne Duncan put on a show.

Epic performance ruined by BBVA Compass's COO dropping the trophy. You could tell he was nervous when he paused to recollect himself while announcing Drummond as the MVP. Must be nerve-racking being next to such an epic player. I felt real sorry for the guy.
EDIT: Having watched it for a second time, it appears as though the trophy wasn't well put together.

Good offensive rebounders and hustle big men seem to have a field day at the Rising stars game. Last year it was Faried and now Drummond. The guys whose games revolve around hustle will benefit in a game where everybody else playing less intense.

Someone asked Wade today how LeBron would do in the dunk contest. LeBron cut in and answered for Wade: "I'd win."—

Then he has no reason not to enter.

So the trade deadline is nearing. Going to be a exciting week.
http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/big-names ... dline.htmlBut players along the lines of Evan Turner, Jarrett Jack, Udonis Haslem and Emeka Okafor could be moving from one team to another.
Udonis is great for DNP-CD. But he's the best enforcer the Heat has. Even Psycho T was humbled by Udonis. I don't think he's going anywhere especially when his stock is low and only thing the Heat could get in return would be another bum with a heavy price tag.
Tue Feb 18, 2014 12:28 pm
Haslem is the heart and soul of the Heat, he's taken less money twice to stay, totaling 24M. Pat Riley would be a real dick if he traded him.
Tue Feb 18, 2014 12:58 pm
What's stopping him, he already dicked with the Lakers then the Knicks.

It's like the Joel Anthony trade didn't even happen in your universe.
