I slept from 8pm to Jan 1st 10am. It doesn't get safer or awesomer than that

14 hours of sleep? Wow.
Gong out was better than sleeping or working for myself. Hit up a couple friends houses and a bar. One dummy in our group got hammered too early and slept through midnight. Then he got drunk in the morning, and we went down to the parade and he got clipped for public intoxication. Lesson to all about drinking- Pace yourself. If you are feeling good atopsy nd you already have a drink in your hand, you also have unabsorbed alcohol in your digestive system. Continuing to get hammered doesn't enhance the feeling, you might vomit, blackout, or worse.

Time for my favourite Dean Martin quote: "You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on."

I spent my New Years in Boston... actually, I guess it was technically Cambridge, since that's where the club was. It wasn't worth the hefty cover charge (25 bucks... fuck!) but I still had a pretty good time. I'm in DC now and I'm heading to the Wizards/Raptors game tonight. Never would have thought those two teams would be relevant this season (albeit in a weak conference). Hopefully it'll be a good game.

$25 wasn't too bad. there are too many places that don't charge you for new year's celebrations

I'd trust the German's advice on this one regarding alcoholic beverages.

Two of those maximum temperatures are lower than the overnight minimum here yesterday.

Well, four potential 40 degree days in a row is pretty extreme for Melbourne.

How funnily the world works! You guys are melting and we here are having the coldest temperature in years: 15 degree

I haven't posted in this thread in a while! Probably because I'm employed, going to school and my sports teams are winning. Happy belated New Year, guys!

Glad everything is going well for you Lamrock

My East Coast trip is coming to an end tomorrow. I've been to Boston, Washington, New York, Philadelphia and Orlando. Heading back to Southern California tomorrow. Then back to Australia on the 29th

I also checked out the Magic/Bobcats game last night. It was fun seeing Josh McRoberts get the hot hand in the first half.

That's great, Lamrock. If you don't party and drink anymore, can I have your sombrero?

40 minutes late for a jury duty case and we are all still waiting to get called into the court room. I took a detour after all the freeways were packed, probably ended up later than I would have been if I had been patient. It's kind of fun navigating Glendale and Los Angeles.

They are quite delayed. They even had us take a break. 8:30 Monday morning my ass. Imagine if I had arrived early like they wanted us to.
And come back at 1:30. Hhahahahah.

So did you feel bad for being left out or did you feel good because jury duty won't consume your time?
I'd imagine it's like not being picked in the draft.

I can't lift my left arm any direction, it hurts so bad I couldn't sleep. I went to a doc and now on medicine and painkiller. Going in for a x-ray tomorrow. I'm guessing it's something similar to Wade's shoulder injury from past.

uh i actually was unemployed at the time and had a job interview the next day, so I tried to get myself off of the jury. If i didn't have that interview, I would've wanted to do it for the entertainment and I had nothing better to do.

after months of protests we finally let him pay for access to Lean's forum....he couldn't handle it.

Hahaha, precisely.
Doc says it's a shoulder injury that's affecting nerves on bicep thus the whole arm. I honestly don't know what caused it though. I think it's years of smoking, lack of exercise, and overweight contributed into the cause. One morning, I woke with pain in my arm. The pain grew so I started exercise which actually made it worse since what I needed was to rest, (for reducing inflammation).
