Thanks bro! Haha you'll actually be the first to receive the Global as I'll need you to tell me if all my accessory edits are accurate to go with your roster. And I've been experimenting with some things, I'm still using the tight jersey mod, I didn't turn the player detail to low for previews and with my video settings saved in a read-only file, I forget to turn it to low a lot lol. Plus seeing as how I restart my 2k at least 20 times every half hour to see the results of my edits I just neglect to do so.

Well thank you guys for the quick responses, since I work non-stop the quicker feedback I get, the quicker I can churn out my mods. I've been working non-stop for the past 6 hours to fine tune practically everything I can find in the 3d models of 2k's bodies for the ideal "Athlete Bodies".

Changes that I've done:
~Lengthened legs to optimum athlete proportions (As you've seen in earlier previews and in previews to come)
~Increased shoulder size on Muscular body types to a reasonable size (Wanted to differentiate body types completely with my body edits such as in the NBA, you can see who is Skinny, Average and Buff)
~Fixed Half Calf Sleeve's length to reflect the way Melo wears them (So far only for normal and muscular body types, I haven't touched skinny bodies yet, however I'm still debating whether or not to just use the same legs I'm using for the other body types for consistency)
~Tightened Knee sleeves as pointed out by DMavs as much as I possibly could (This however conflicted with the way mid-long and double-mid socks would hide under them when worn together soooo...)
~Fixed sock lengths to be compatible with most equipment that they're supposed to correlate with (Still a work in progress, mid-long socks are hell :cussing: )
~Slightly increased shoe size but kept my previous shoe contour edits (The shoes were beginning to look like women's shoes with the new body proportion edits)
~Increased Ankle Brace and Ankle Wrap lengths (Ankle Braces if you've ever worn them are about in between 2k's low and mid socks rather than just being low and almost hidden, Ankle wraps increased to sock length so a sock texture can be used in the slot)

Changes I have yet to do:
~Create new ankle brace texture (No more faulty Adidas texture that doesn't even line up with it's green map bumps; will probably revert to 2k default texture so braces can be white, black, etc. as Steph Curry wears White Ankle braces)
~Edit finger straps to be like seen in real life/next-gen (Gonna do the best I can with this but the margin of error is very slim, so no promises :? )
~Edit Arm Sleeves to be slightly longer (Looking at reference photos I feel the distance between the wrist bands and end of sleeve could use a touch up)
~Create new padded arm sleeve texture (Something a little more realistic to go with Lagoa's next gen arm sleeves and to replace 2k's default that has been used for years, hopefully something to give the padded area a look of more depth even if you use the normal arm version of the global)
~Create new Padded half calf sleeve texture (With me lengthening the half calf sleeves that Melo wears it skewed the default texture, plus the pad is misplaced with the legs being longer, so I'll be making the pad on the shin area)
~Create/Decide what to put in the Ankle Wrap texture area (Maybe just revert to sock texture so players can wear team colored socks for fun? :P )
~Redesign/decide on knee pad texture (At the moment I'm imitating Nike knee pads as worn by Rajon Rondo and others, they were most notably worn by the USA Men's Basketball Olympic Team as they wore all Nike gear)
~Test ways to get 2k11 sweat on default skin (For those that report issues with reddish skin tones)
~Learn to Hex Edit skin tones (Still no help on this one lol)

Changes that have failed SO FAR:
~Learn to Hex Edit skin tones (I'm desperately trying to learn but this is definitely a work in progress, but I shall not concede defeat! :cool: )
~Attempt to fix the bump on Lagoa's Next-Gen Arm Sleeve to fit the hexagonal shape of the padded texture (Points in the arm sleeve layer in Blender are just not in the correct places for me to get it just right)
~Attempt to fix the glitched area in the tricep area of arms as seen here:

This however may be out of my control as 2k's bodies split the arms into about 5-6 pieces, and the glitched area is somewhere in the area of these two layers:

Thus I was unable to fix the problem, but am still working to find a workaround to get it aligned correctly.

As a bonus here's an unconventional photo of my workspace for you all, with all the gibberish of ideas, layer numbers, etc. I write down and everything else I have going on during this process :shake:

As I've stated before I have big plans for this global so I'm working diligently to get things perfect; Hopefully I'll have close to final previews to share with you all ASAP (Y)

By the way, will these lower body edits affect the DRose kneepads since those were based on the older lower body?

Just amazing Cam, you work is stunning!! I wish there could be some way to combine the fitting of retro uniform shirts with nowadays unis, because imo is the thing that looks worst in the whole game. Seeing those jerseys that seem made of paper floating on players bodies look horrible.

that was my gripe for the longest the stretched out texture on the back of the arm I meant to post a picture of it but glad you are working so hard cam but make sure to get rest!

Great effort once again Cam! Your desk shows how serious you are about this and how much you value our feedback as well :)

I like that you tend to focus on things like accessories being accurate and realism with the player's bodies. It's things that should be the focus for an NBA simulator.



Btw, I never had an issue with the player's skin tones but if some find them too red then I thinkk sweetfx can provide a makeshift fix:

Not saying Cam shouldn't continue trying to learn the hex edits but if he can't then there is still this option as a last resort

Pretty sure most of it (ENB and Sweet FX) is mlp's as for the Jersey's I have no clue

Hehe thanks man, I'd love to be considered a Contributer, it'd be an honor. Either way I enjoy doing this, I keep challenging myself to make things better and better until I feel they're perfect. I adjusted the D.Rose leg gear to comply with the new lower bodies so there wont be any issue (Y)

Yeah man it bothered me too, I hope I can get it worked out, it's something I am actively working on. As far as rest, I'm going on about 18+ hours without sleep :crazyeyes: I think I'll be going to sleep soon I just have a couple more edits that I'm just dying to get right.

Thank you! My desk is a mess from all my notes and plans lol. I do try to focus on the minor things as they go a long way. Sweetfx definitely can act as a mask for people who have a problem with the skin tones, but I'm still going to find a way to learn how to hex edit the global for even better tones (Y)

Well guys, I've been working for probably 18+ hours straight on all the latest mods I have planned. I have one huge one that I've only informed a select few about that I really hope pans out. I'm just having an issue when importing a 3D model; I get a gobbled mess rather than the 3D model I created. If anyone that's experienced this in the past that knows of a work around can help me with this, that would be HUGE. Another thing to add to my to-do list: I'm working on replacing Knee Braces with the Longer style Knee Sleeves as seen on many players today that I had created a completely separate global for in the past. Hopefully if I do everything correctly it should be a success. (Y)

i am using cams global but i didn't get the exactly calfsleeve the way in the previews are.

Are you using my roster? Maybe because he hasn't released the update? Also, you have to change the gear of Carmelo himself along with the sock length.

Yeah bro, your sleeves don't appear that way because I haven't released my updated global. I'm trying to do all edits possible before releasing, Melo's calf sleeves are on my list of updates.




Here's the list of planned updates for you all that I posted in the last page, with some new additions. I had a long nights rest and plan on completing at least 75% if not all of my planned updates by days end (Y)


Changes that I've done:

Thanks man, the global should not decrease framerate. I haven't had any reported problems of this in the past

It is possible, however I won't be doing so for accuracy reasons as only well, Adidas athletes wear Adidas Knee pads, and only Derrick Rose and maybe 1 or 2 other athletes wear the ones I created the texture for.

Just a small query I have for you all of an observation that some of you may have picked up on that I'll be experimenting with; The issue of hand to ball physics, as well as size relation, do you guys think this is something that could be fine-tuned? and if so in which way? Below I've provided an identical photo of LeBron shooting for you to see the difference of ball and hand size in comparison to real life, as well as the noticeable gap between the two touching in 2k. Also an overhead shot of ball size in relation to rim width so you can see how much wiggle room I have if I were to make an edit.

I can:
A. Increase the size of the ball slightly
or
B. Increase the size of hands slightly (by way of making palms bigger, fingers longer, or both)
or
C. Leave it alone, it's not that big of a deal.
