Interesting. I think I'll use the "that happened before I was born" excuse for not knowing that.
Hopefully Kyrie can light it up against the Heat and the game is somewhat close.

I was born in 1984, so I had to look that one up.

At a glance, I believe that's the only other time it's happened. Two former number one picks of the same team is a bit more common, with Magic and Worthy on the Showtime Lakers being an example that springs immediately to mind.

A couple more games:
Thursday December 5th: Thunder vs Blazers
Saturday December 7th: Nuggets vs Celtics
Sat Dec 07, 2013 11:51 am
Thursday, December 12th: Bulls vs Knicks
Saturday, December 14th: Lakers vs Thunder
Saturday, December 14th: Rockets vs Warriors
Thursday, December 19th: Pacers vs Heat
Couple of good ones there. Bulls/Knicks probably won't be the game it could've been if both teams were healthy and playing better, but I'm certainly not opposed to getting a Bulls game here and there. Kobe will be back for the Lakers/Thunder game so that'll be interesting to watch, Rockets/Warriors is solid and Pacers/Heat is an Eastern Conference Finals rematch and potential preview. No doubling up either, so decent variety as well.

Triple-header boxing day. Heat-Lakers, Rockets-Spurs, Clippers-Warriors.

All matchups with the potential to be good games. Worth skipping a sleep-in, in my book.

I have a sneaking suspicion Heat-Lakers might just not be worth waking up at 6AM.
Fri Dec 20, 2013 4:55 pm
Yes, some of the shine has been taken off the upcoming Lakers games.

There's a decent chance Kobe being out will actually make the Lakers more enjoyable to watch. No way they were touching Miami either way, though.

Interesting that we have a Timberwolves-Pelicans game on today. Could be fun

And a live game on ESPN2. I don't recall them doing that too often.

Saturday, January 11th: Lakers vs Clippers

Durant scoring 54 against the Warriors. Such an exciting game to watch
Hopefully the Spurs/Thunder game is as fun next week

Today's coverage of the Heat/Nets game began at halftime. I think I'm definitely making the right call by cancelling Foxtel when the season is done, and going with NBA League Pass in the future.

No it didn't. I recorded the live coverage, and watched the entire game this afternoon.
Thu May 08, 2014 7:13 am
Really? I switched it on at 10 AM, the listed starting time, and it was halftime.
Thu May 08, 2014 1:39 pm
Listed where? I checked the TV guide the night before, to set the recording up, and it was listed for 7AM, which is only 9AM over your side of the country.
Thu May 08, 2014 2:31 pm
The online listing (which I have set to my region) and the on-screen guide were both 10 AM; when I switched on at 10, the on-screen listing still had a 10 AM starting time, but it obviously was well underway by that point. So yeah, a mix-up somewhere down the line.

Suddenly cut to a long commercial break in the middle of the action, return to the game just as it's going to a break; good job, ESPN Australia! Like I said, League Pass is the right call.
