Chance vs much stronger teams?

Hello I have this question that could be about this current but other games in this series as well....
When you play a game (any game mode) using a weak team and you are gonna face the Heat or the Spurs or somebody rated overall 1st to 5th what do you do to give yourself a chance at least not to be kicked off the court? Do you use a particular set of sliders? Do you change the game difficult from i.e. All-Star to Pro? And in the case you use a particular set of sliders what line did you modify the most? Reducing the success of shots and dunks?

I guess you can make those adjustments - changing the difficulty is the obvious solution if the game is too hard or too easy, after all - but beyond that, it's just playing your absolute best and overachieving through a great effort, just like when a bad team beats a good one in real life.
